Five stars for excellent service! I'm surprised anyone had a bad service experience there. The missing star is actually for the food. Everyone we encountered was on their A game, and I'm one who appreciates stellar service. We were there at 1pm on Tuesday, December 24th, before Phantom of the Opera. We ordered 2 meals from the $33 3 course menu, 2 glasses of wine, tea, and sparkling water. Both desserts were disappointing, the main was okay, but we both enjoyed the soup. Good portion sizes, but felt overpriced as the food was underwhelming overall. I chalked it up to paying for the service. It's a place I'd pop into again for wine and an appetizer. Great service, good location and an original menu for an Italian restaurant. The only problem that we encountered is that some of their dishes that were not listed as spicy very quite spicy. Other than that, a good place for a special dinner, very close to most theaters that are downtown.

I really enjoyed my main dinner here. The appetizer was average but the entree blew my socks off. I had the Linguini Nere which is Squid Ink pasta with scallops and shrimp. The sauce was creamy without being overly fishy. Delish! The kids menu was overpriced for what they got and neither items were especially appetizing for my kids. The drinks were also a little of the mark. The first martini was great but the second was very boozy and unbalanced. However the bathrooms were very clean and nice and the restaurant itself was very pleasant to the eye.

Dubbed the most romantic restaurant in Chicago. Amazing service by an Italian staff. We were served by Marko, who had a good sense of humor. I had my drink paid for because it was my graduation day. Highly recommended if you can afford it.

Good Italian downtown. Not cheap, but the quality of the dishes is definitely above average. Squash tortellini and calamari were very good. Service is decent, they took away my salad before I had a chance to finish.

Went for breakfast. Fast service with friendly and attentive staff. Got the Italian breakfast with espresso and coffee. Drinks were quality and the food was delicious. On the pricier end but definitely worth checking out if you're nearby.

This place is connected to a hotel and seems like a type of place for a quick dinner and an affair but who am I to judge. Hostess misheard the number of people when we checked in so our 30 minute wait turned into an hour. Manager was nice enough to comp our group with some delicious desserts. Appetizers, steak and dessert were all delicious so definitely recommend this place for food. Wait staff needs to bring up their quality a bit to match the place.

Very good and fresh with a seasonal menu. Salmon had a beautiful crust and asparagus puree was delicious. Lasagna was average. Flourless chocolate cake was very good.Noice level was a bit loud. Perfect for a pre-theater meal.
