This wild berry and coconut frozen smoothie is perfect for breakfast and equally satisfying as a healthy dessert. It has a thick, ice-cream-like texture—essentially a quick frozen yogurt that is sweet, tangy and full of bright berry flavour.
I love smoothies for breakfast, especially in spring and summer. They make me feel fresh and energised, and the fact they take five minutes or less to make is a big plus. They look beautiful, taste great and are a simple way to start the day.
A helpful tip: slice bananas into halves or quarters and freeze them in separate bags—one banana per bag—so you always have them ready. Frozen bananas keep indefinitely and save you from buying a bunch that goes soft on the counter. If you don’t have a frozen banana on hand you can still make the smoothie with a soft one, but the texture won’t be as cold and creamy.
I used coconut yogurt here because I love the taste and aroma of coconut; it pairs wonderfully with wild berries. If you prefer, substitute plain Greek yogurt or try another flavour of yogurt to suit your taste.
