Farm-to-table dining in a design store. Chic New American eatery via Jean-Georges Vongerichten sourcing local, organic ingredients.
We really enjoyed our meal at ABC Kitchen. Wonderful fresh food with bright flavors. Nice decorations. Decent (though maybe a bit slow) service. Pizza was unexpected tasty. Duck and Sea Bass were both big hits. Yellowfin Tuna “to share” was much too small to share but fun to eat. Order a few.
It was a mixed feelings experience. We arrive early and told the waiter that we had a reservation but we wanted to first drink something at the bar. The bar was packed. Wine was perfect. When the time of our reservation came we told the hostess that we were all there and we wished to be seated. Our reservation was at 7.45, we got seated at 8.30. The hostess kept giving us excuses, they were cleaning the table, the party that was in our table stay till late, etc. Still, it sucked. When we got our table, we asked for wine and food. A couple minutes later a second waitress came and said that she would be handling the table and they didn’t have that wine. We order another one, while appetizers were already at the table. Again, waitress said they didn’t have the second wine either and recommended the one I first ordered, saying that it was an error of communication. The wine came at the same time of the entrees. And the waitress served too much even when some people of our party told her that they weren’t having any wine. Then again, another waitress was assigned. Food was great. We had the stracciatella and the carrot salad for appetizers. The carrot salad was awesome! Then we had a pizza, a salmon, a duck (that came cold and was heated in the microwave) and some side dishes. The food was delicious. But when service is that bad, it makes the whole experience horrible.
Great spot for a very healthy brunch! Stopped by here to meet a friend at the bar (restaurant had an hour wait). My friend got the match latte and I got the Green Glow juice and blueberry bowl. Blueberry bowl had so many different fruits including dragon fruit along with peanut butter. Hit the spot while also being a healthy option. Service was good and they let us linger at the bar without rushing us out, appreciated!
We ate brunch on a Saturday afternoon with no reservation. The hostess made it seem like we may not get a reservation, despite us seeing multiple open tables that would seat two. The food was fresh, flavorful and presented beautifully. We would have loved to have dessert if we were not stuffed from our lemon poppy seed doughnuts, squash & ricotta pizza & lobster roll
Love the food at ABC kitchen and the set menu is really very value for money, $45 for a full set of starter, main and a hearty dessert! Highly recommended. When to the store after that but felt that I seen it before and didn’t feel like I would wanna shop there. Something shd be done to refresh the store to be more relevant and meaningful for the current consumers and shoppers
Awesome restaurant! The romantic atmosphere and exquisite cuisine make it perfect for a date, birthday dinner, you name it! Apparently their pizza is very famous but we didn’t try it, New York always means a lot of pizza, instead we had a cheese entrée (see picture), blood orange salad, Black Sea bass and the sundae for dessert. Don’t forget to make a reservation! You’ve got to order: everything listed before
Exceptional service, attention to detail and flavor. For a relatively short menu, they have a surprisingly good variety of options to accommodate all tastes and preferences. The house made stracciatella and dessert of the day were extraordinarily good.
Had a nice time here on a busy Thursday night. Cost was about $100 per person for a pretty high quality dinner. All sauces were professionally done, and the menu seemed pretty thought out, although felt more like fusion than "new American". Good vibe, excellent drink menu and great service the whole night. We ordered one starter (tuna crudo), which was very good and was bathed in a nice chili oil. I really enjoyed the kale salad, which had some kind of seeds for texture, and was a little spicy. The roast carrot and avocado salad was a bit dense and we didn't finish that one. The pizzas is where they shine. Irregular shaped, light and clearly homemade whole wheat dough and some really cool toppings. We got the tomato basil and the black truffle with egg and were impressed! For mains we got the ricotta ravioli which was fantastic, and the salmon, which was excellent - bathed in some chili garlic sauce bath. All of the dessert was great, highly recommend the salted caramel popcorn ice cream. Do not recommend the pamello flavor (we eat pamellos all the time but this was way too sour and did not work). Full disclosure, we did not try any of the meat dishes. Theoretically we should have been eating at ABC-V, but ABC still had enough good options for us!
