Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails

Service was the best! Amanda with the drinks and making sure we were always taken care of. Jorge was working to support us as well with any needs. Very kind and personable. They were caring about food allergies and made sure no tomatoes consumption took place. The Red Snapper was fresh and spot on. The brunch burger was as killer as it can get. So much stuff on it, but it all went well together. The chips and guac were magnificent, homemade chips and everything tasted like it was straight from the kitchen.

I planned a meal for 18 and called to make reservations, Ivan made sure that we were accommodated. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately in a private area. The servers were excellent. However the things that stood out the most- ALL meals came to the table at the same time, the food was delicious, and the ambience was perfect for the occasion. By the time we arrived at the front of Hotel Contessa, the valets had begun bringing the cars. There was literally no wait time. This was an excellent experience and by far one of the best displays of customer service that I have EVER had. I highly recommend dining at Ambler and can’t wait to stay at the hotel to see if it can measure up to the restaurant.

We really enjoyed our visit! Great service, drinks were delicious and the food was perfect. The patio was a perfect setting and really enjoyable. One negative was the hostess who had a poor attitude and didn’t greet us warmly. Would recommend some retraining to help her understand her role.

Beautiful setting, fantastic brunch and our server Rosa was amazing! She made us feel like we were her only table all the while she was managing a hectic brunch crowd! The service manager was equally personable and made the start to our day incredible. Highly recommend!

It's okay, beautiful hotel but the restaurant area is extremely loud so it's hard to have an intimate conversation. Our waiter Mateo was amazing and beautiful at the same time. Now the food, I ordered the CFS it was okay, the cream corn was good and the fried green tomatoes were okay. It was missing something. The cfs reminded me of Golden Corral, not bad but not where I want to go back. The cocktail I ordered was a strawberry beret, it was strong and it did its job but honestly Bohannon steakhouse is best downtown.

Philip the manager of the restaurant was very courteous and very friendly, made sure everyone was satisfied with food and drinks they ordered. Mi'kaela the server was very attentive and on point, along with the bartenders Steven and Hector made amazing drinks. Definitely coming back and if you haven't been you need to go.

Excellent food with shaded outdoor and indoor seating. New chef (Sept 2022) is good. Bone in double pork chop and snapper were high quality. Sides and appetizers are good and filling. No room for dessert. On Riverwalk near marriage island that provided entertaining views without loud crowds around the corner on the Riverwalk. Bathroom is a little distant from outdoor area but not worth any deduction. Service excellent, helpful and friendly. Bottle of cold water on each table.
