I bought the Louisville Dog. Customer service was great--from the cashier to the cook--but the food itself was really subpar. As a hot dog lover, I was not enthused. The Louisville is an all beef hot dog with cheese, maple bourbon bacon, and crunchy fried onions on a pretzel bun. The concept was wonderful but the taste was lacking. The bun was hard and didn't fold well so I ended up eating it deconstructed. The bacon was my favorite part but it's too sweet to eat it without everything else. I wish there were a Nathan's..
No breakfast before I left Phoenix so I was starving. Hot dogs were delicious, Chicago classic and what they call Maxwell Street with grilled onions and sport peppers. Hot dog bun was perfect, soft and chewy but held up to the ingredients
Got to have a Chicago Dog when your in O'Hare airport. Excellent taste with the crunch of the pickle. Every time I visit Chicago I have a traditional Chicago hot dog ( even if I'm just passing through), try it you will not regret it. Airport prices $7.99 per specialty hot dog. America's Dog makes them great! Don't forget to visit the Navy pier if you get out of the airport.
The line moves quick, friendly service, clean inside though we had to clean our own table. Food was super mediocre...not good, not bad. My hotdog was the Chicago dog, way more bun and pickle/relish than hotdog and the peppers were old. If you enjoy a good hotdog, I wouldn't recommend this spot...but for airport food, not terrible.
Got fooled by the name and ordered Chicago dog, with fries. Fries is over cooked, dog is just like any other dog you can find at other places, but with a piece of pickle and 2 slices of tomato. Got yelled at while standing inside the store while waiting for my food… Only thing good here is that Dr Pepper tastes still like Dr Pepper.
Had the Chicago Dog. It was good but could have been lighter on the relish to balance out the toppings better. Also had cheddar fries. They were fine. Nothing to write home about.
Big salad, it was good! Service was good but it is fast food in an airport. Keep that in mine. I was happy to find something green and relatively healthy!
This was my first time flying into Chicago headed back to Houston. I could have eaten anywhere else. I saw the line an said this must be the place because of the line not knowing that they were waiting on their orders. The staff was great, inviting, and customer oriented, but the service in which the food came out was drastically, and exhaustively slow. I really was expecting far more when it came to the hot ? dog. Seeing how the name was American Dog. It was something to the imagination. I had the Dallas Dog, and a side of fries. Being a native of Texas Houston to be exact. It was anything but American! I won't go into detail with how horrible it was, only to say I could have gotten the same at the local convenience store. The two star are for the staff. And for the food????!!!!!!
