Oh my oh my what a delicious meal and outstanding service. The pita bread was great, lamb skewers and meatballs well seasoned, the fried cheese was absolutely delicious, and snapper and veggies on top of it was wonderful. I had a fig cocktail and it was festive and delicious. Highly highly recommend! We were a group of 5 and shared 2 mains, 2 sides, and 2 apps and we walked away pretty stuffed! Some of us had cocktails and shared a bottle of Greek wine and our bill ended up being about $62 (excluding tip) per person!
Delicious food and cocktails. The restaurant is nestled in a quaint location. Servers are polite and attentive. We got to this place after a short walk from the financial district. I recommend trying their octopus and their cocktails. Would definitely recommend when visiting the lower Manhattan / financial district / One World Trade Center
Cannot even begin to tell you how amazing our brunch was! Service was better than any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I literally was doing the happy food dance in my chair! Give yourself a treat - head there!
We started with drinks at the bar. Our bartender Christian was excellent! I had a Maria Callas and this cocktail is deserving of the name, it was crisp and yet mellow, sweet but not overly so, and elegant to the extreme. For dinner our party of four shared the octopus, meatballs, Greek salad, and bread with hummus, they were all excellent especially the octopus. I had the salmon for my entre was perfection!
Amazing amazing Greek dinner in the downtown area. Everything was phenomenal, the pita bread, the spreads we got with it, octopus appetizer, lamb chops, cooked fish, lobster spaghetti. Truly, so delicious and would definitely have to come back here. Would definitely recommend. Atmosphere was cute and cozy for Christmas well. Service was also phenomenal.
They have a delicious Greek salad, though I was far and away most thrilled by the Dip Trio with pita wedges. The dips I selected were savory, and the pita was hot and crunchy. Awesome stuff. Anassa’s decor is newy renovated with a vibrant vibe, and the service by the bartender and hostess was both friendly and attentive. Great Mediterranean spot in Battery Park!
Great outside seating. Huge indoor seating. Lively inside bar. Friendly attentive service. Upscale look with casual vibe. Dishes came out rather quickly. Octopus was well cooked. Meatballs were nice. Good cocktails and nice wines. Excellent bread and pita. Main dishes good though potatoes undercooked and fries soggy. Quality food and well priced.
Really enjoyed this Anassa Taverna! The octopus was tender, the Greek salad is a big portion, they gave complimentary hummus & bread for the table (their hummus is delicious and more lemony than others) and the drinks were delicious. I don’t usually go for meatballs when I dine out but theirs had amazing flavor. Honestly we typically expect more kinks when a restaurant is so new but our waiter really knew the menu and was professional. Our food came out very quickly and as we requested…overall a perfect experience. The only thing to look out for is that if you dine outdoors, there were a lot of little flies that kept flying onto our table! So sit inside if that would bother you. I’m sure they’ll find a way to take care of that issue or maybe it’s just the time of year. We were well overdue for a nice restaurant to fill this space and so happy it’s a Greek place with delicious food!
