Modern Latin fare & cocktails. Funky place for ceviche & creative Latin small & large plates plus margaritas & craft beers.
Had a great experience at Bar Takito. Pretty cool decor and amazing service. We tried the regular and mushroom queso fundido as well as the Chips and Salsa appetizers, and you really can't go wrong here, everything was absolutely amazing. Our group got a bunch of tacos as well and we loved them all, my favorite was the steak taco with the crispy shoestring onions. Also, if you like a good margarita, theirs is absolutely killer. Will be coming back!
Great place with delicious food. The prices for the drinks are a little steep but you’re paying for the location. The food is extremely flavoured and well cooked. The staff are nice and the venue is clean and curated
Food is good, and staff are friendly. I like taco Tuesdays bc you can mix and match any tacos for $3 per taco. The steak taco is good but greasy the last time I ordered it. I also like the Brisket and cauliflower tacos.
I came here for dinner with a couple friends and it was really nice. We sat outside but the inside seemed to have a good ambience, nothing too fancy. I got the mezcal cocktail, it was great. And I also got the steak, which we agreed was the best out of the dishes we ordered. The salsa is mole style and was not my favorite, but preference. Also the queso fun dido with tortillas and chips is the way to go!William was our server and he did a great job with everything. Easily split our bills, which can be a not so easy process at some places in the city. Definitely will be going back!
Dined here for brunch over the weekend with some friends. The atmosphere is really fun and the staff is very kind and accommodating. Of course if you’re coming here for brunch, louder music and a louder crowd should be expected. I ordered the Chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and chorizo which were okay, but a little dry for my taste. I wish there was more salsa and the chips had a little bit more crunch. Otherwise I really enjoyed my experience and would go back!
Sat at the bar and had the watermelon margarita and the pork belly tacos. The tacos were alright, nothing incredible, and the margarita was good. Overpriced given the portion size, but this is also a more expensive restaurant area so keep that in mind. Biggest flaw for me was that the bar was so insanely loud that you can barely hear yourself think, and I couldn't stay longer than 20-25 minutes. Luckily the bar service was quite fast!
Fabulous experience. I went for Restaurant week, but I would definitely go back. The queso fundido was not only fun, but delicious. The maitake mushrooms were well flavored and a nice bite. The cheese was complex and delicious with every bite. The shrimp ceviche had plenty of shrimp and flavor with the lime and cilantro perfectly balanced. The Chilean Sea Bass Al Pastor was phenomenal--they managed to elevate and enhance but not overwhelm the sea bass taste. It was flaky and cooked to perfection, with the pineapple adding a nice refreshing taste. The Pulpo a la Plancha was one of the first times I had actually tender and delicious octopus. The meal was enhanced by our waiter, Fernando (I think), explaining the process of how the food was prepared and what we were eating. Then dessert -- the pineapple upside down cake is worth going for all on its own. It's a moist cake covered in Mexican caramel with pineapple chunks and a passion fruit curd that is indescribable in its deliciousness. The margaritas were also quite good. They take Jose Cuervo traditional and make it better then add it to the margarita-- making a smooth, deceptively strong drink.
I’m actually turning into a big fan of this place when it comes to a last minute brunch reservation. It’s not a cheap place but the food is pretty solid if you don’t try to do over do it! For those who love bottomless mimosas this a great spot! If you are allergic to orange juice they other juice options as well!
