Polished eatery for steak & seafood. Upscale steakhouse featuring an elegant, woodsy interior & a charming garden terrace.
We had drinks on the patio at Blue Bar. The view was amazing! The was perfect for patio weather too. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks and food were all superb. It was my first time there and it was an amazing first experience! Will definitely come back. FYI you're only wanting to go to Blue Bar and not dine Brenner, then the dress code is a little more relaxed.
Well this deserves 5 stars. No doubt. Excellent atmosphere and makes the bayou look beautiful. Jumbo crab cake is a must and could had a full meal just of that. Schnitzel is huge and is very shareable for the main course and would highly recommend. Perfectly battered veal. Ask them to add extra egg and you are good to go. For the sides potatoes Al gratin is the best we have had. Comparison are streak 48, Morton’s, and Fleming’s. Overall would come back. Jumbo crab cake Potatoes Al gratin Brussels sprouts Schnitzel 3 drinks ______________ $148
When I say I’ve been trying to get here for weeks, I mean it! Well he surprised me for brunch yesterday, meh… The service is not warm, welcoming, or inviting. Server kept reminding us that he was new and didn’t know much. He also told us that they don’t have a drink menu. The lady helping to train him seemed very annoyed when we asked her questions. In fact she was rude a couple times regarding items not on the menu, at one time she said “why you want some”. Other than that, the food was decent, and the view is beautiful. I’d like to try happy hour at the blue bar but don’t think I’d chance the experience. I’ll mark this place off my list & not recommend or return.
Food and service was exceptional. Nice variety on the brunch menu. The location is beautiful and the restaurant/bar is unique. My husband is handicapped and there are alot of stairs at the entrance and inside the dining room. If you go around to the side and go down the ramp to the outdoor bar area, you can enter the dining room on the lower level and sit inside. The outdoor bar/seating area is nice too if you choose to do that. Pretty views but these tables are first come first serve. I love they have a dress code, so fancy! Will definitely go back for dinner next time.
My husband and I came here yesterday for dinner together!! We sat outside and the ambiance was beautiful. I loved the environment, and it was very peaceful. I enjoyed all the lighting, music, and the patio was quite breezy and cool. Perfect spot for a celebration or date night with someone you love. We had two waitresses that's waited on us. Francesca took great care of us. The other young lady was lovely as well; we couldn't remember her name. Also, a younger man who brought out our food was nice and helped me not walk all the way up the stairs and showed me to the bathroom. He was a kind gentleman which women appreciate. I don't know his name, but I always like to recognize good service. Be sure to make a reservation because it is a smaller and intimate space. We had Pear Martinis and Lemon Martinis. (Both 5/5) Filet Mignon - Oscar (prepared rare) 5/5 rare to perfection, smooth like butter, could be pretty much cut with a fork (Smooth like butter, like a criminal undercover, Gon' pop like trouble breaking into your heart like that) and boy did this steak pop into our heart! Seafood Tower - 5/5 All the fish was so fresh and delicious. I wish I had another one right now. It's huge and full of everything, 2 lobsters, Alaskan king crab, oysters, and shrimp --yum! 43rd and Broadway - 5/5 Thank you for an amazing experience!
This place is NOT allergy friendly and does not practice integrity with communication around allergens. If you have serious allergies do NOT trust it. The dinner service had been great and the food was as expected for the caliber of restaurant. We ordered some desserts to-go and I informed my waiter that I had a severe strawberry allergy. He said that it didn't apply to one of the desserts we chose but he would let the chef know so they could be sure to change gloves. Hearing that this was a part of their practice sounded great. When he brought the desserts out in their to-go containers he confirmed that they were made with care with no cross contamination. Imagine my surprise when I get home and see strawberries on a dessert I was told didn't have strawberries!!!! Seeing that I was lied to- I don't feel comfortable eating the other dessert that had blueberries but no strawberries as I don't trust what the waiter said about their practices. This all could have been avoided if he had just said they can't accommodate that, as I have been told that before and just choose not to order dessert. It is so frustrating to have wasted money on to-go food after my waiter made it seem like they went above and beyond. Even though my dinner was great, I will definitely not be returning because I no longer trust this restaurant. If you can't double check that an allergen I disclose is not present on my food after giving me verbal assurance at 2 different times, I don't trust that you follow any of the procedures you claim to.
My wedding was more than I ever expected. Brenner's on the Bayou and Ashley guided me through the entire process. Staff was great. The food was superb. And if you're a select member of Landry's, you earn meal points.
Had a team dinner here and really enjoyed the view and the food. Had rhe shrimp appetizer, then salad, salmon with green beans and mashed potatoes, and the dessert was sample of banana bread (not good, felt like it was recently defrosted), german cake (very good), fruits and whip cream. The garden is a beautiful add-on to the environment.
