Stylish Chinese & American dining. Chic restaurant/bar offering American steakhouse fare, Chinese dumplings, Peking duck & more.
I was able to visit Brooklyn Chop House this week and the establishment is absolutely beautiful. I was there for a business event so it was rented out completely for us. However the atmosphere was beautiful. The restaurant was extremely clean, as well as the restaurant. The staff were friendly. The bar tender had amazing energy and enthusiasm. I was able to meet the owner and he is such a nice humble guy. I really enjoyed the food the chicken fried rice was my absolute favorite. I would highly recommend you give this place a try.
I made reservations at this location and asked that the staff help celebrate my friend’s birthday, my service was terrible. I told the server that we were ready for desert and waited 15 min before I had to ask again because I was waiting for them to bring out the desert with the birthday candle had to ask too many times. The fried rice they brought out to us was terrible I didn’t understand the hype it tasted mushy and was cold. The lamb shots were so delicious A+++ definitely recommend to go there for that. The drinks were also good. My friend liked the chicken but was disappointed with the shrimp order. The chicken satay was ehh I wouldn’t order it again. Overall we appreciate this establishment for accommodating us a second time we went back again and had a better experience with the fried rice tasted better hot and fresh. The steak was delicious ? and the garlic lobster was ehh Great place to come vibe in the city place was packed both Friday’s we visit. Also seen Justin Combs while we were there so that was cool!
Highly recommend booking a reservation. Sat at the bar before dinner & had a few margaritas while I waited, which were great. The staff were super friendly. They’ve got 2 great tvs to watch sports. The food was good, I wouldn’t say 5 stars good but definitely some tasty stuff! Pros: there’s enough food to do a family style type of meal, which is what we did. Get the dumplings, any dumpling will suffice, but the French onion soup was perfection! The ribs were also tasty, love the sauce they were smothered in. The Boa Buns were delish, the meat was so tender. Cons: the calamari was so salty. I’d also recommend providing chop sticks if folks order dumplings instead of people having to ask for them. Outside of that, the music was very Brooklyn, the decor & place setting was chic, the ambiance was lovely.
The steak was incredible. Our party had the rib eye, New York strip, and salmon with sides of broccoli, pork and shrimp fried rice, dumplings and onion rings. Everything is a 10 out of 10. Our waiter, Alex J. was very attentive and treated us to a complimentary dessert of red velvet cake for our cousin’s birthday. Also delicious. The drinks were fresh, fruity, and perfect amount of alcohol. An evening dinner well spent.
My boyfriend brought me here to celebrate my birthday last December. The food was tasty. One of the drinks were overly sweet but the waitress was nice enough to get me a different one instead. We enjoyed our experience. The seating was really close so it didn't feel private enough for me but we made the night worth it. I got the The red velvet cake as a complimentary birthday dessert and it was so good. I'd definitely recommend. I'll add the dish and drink names soon.
This place is amazing! The food was incredible, the drinks were great too. The waitress we had was Kiana, she was great! Super attentive, very accommodating, super sweet and went above and beyond for us. The Pac-Man dumplings were the best I've ever had! We can't wait to go back! We were also surprised to be seated near Hassan Johnson (from The Wire, In Too Deep)! What an awesome experience!
I've wanted to try this place for a long time now (especially hearing it had black owners). Finally, got the chance to go. The place is lovely. The inside is well designed and the waitstaff and customer service is excellent. They even had outside dining. So we decided to dine outside since it was a beautiful night. Wrong idea lol because we was attacked by giant cockroachs aka to most as waterbugs (although technically they are not lol). One was bold enough to come on the table while we was about to eat. So we moved inside and dinner was saved. Not a problem. They even made it up to us we drinks on the house. Now the sole reason for the score was because we was a little disappointed in the dumplings. They did not have a true Asian flavor.as exspected. I guess I expected a "Chinatown" taste which it lacked. The ? wontons were pretty good. Crispy and spicy. Also the duck in the duck tacos was a bit on the dry side. Not as juicy as seen in other photos. The entrees were good and honestly seems made for two people. Not complaining, leftovers appreciated. The Schzewan Salmon was tender and not overcooked which was fantastic. But the favorite was the lamb chops and mash! Overall, this was a nice experience. Good environment with great drinks. I do recommend this for a nice night out. Reservations is a must since it gets busy. Also only dine outside in the day if you want to chance it. Other than that you should have a great time.
Decided to try this restaurant as I read that it was a black owned restaurant! The drinks were delicious and this place is definitely a vibe! However, after paying $110 for a ribeye, I would’ve expected more of a seasoned steak (at least salt and pepper) this I did not taste. I also had the garlic ginger mashed potatoes, and cheesecake and they were quite tasty.
