Expansive & colorful Mexican eatery. Mexican eats with live mariachi music, indoors or on the vibrantly colorful outdoor patio.
I love the decorations! We all loved our food and the portions are very generous. Our waiter was very helpful. There’s outdoor and indoor seating. It’s easy to find and in a wonderful part of Old Town. I had the grilled chicken with avocado salad and my son had fish tacos. I recommend the guacamole as well.
Decided on a quick stop off to Casa Guadalajara. The food, atmosphere, and staff were quite pleasant. The food was what a traditional Mexican restaurant should be. I wish they had more selection on coffee and also more wait staff. Servers seemed to be loaded up with tables not much time for table check backs. As a previous server understand completely. Great Job staff.
This is one of the tastiest Mexican food I had. Service is fast and the outdoor space is wonderful. Best part is dogs are allowed on the patio. I also liked the cocktails. Prices are reasonable. Great place for a relaxed dining experience.
We went one evening for cocktails and dessert. The house Margarita was way to sweet, I had to add water and an extra squeeze of lime. The churro with milk chocolate and ice cream, I would definitely go back for. The next day, we ended to go for breakfast, I ordered two mole chicken enchiladas and scramble eggs. The mole needed a little more chocolate but was good. During both visits, servers were the very best, they were attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Mexican artifacts, well curated and was the best part of the experience.
We really enjoyed our meal! The quantity of food was large ? Inside and outside of the restaurant was really aesthetic and beautiful! Benjamin (I think that was our waiters' name) was a kind gentleman :) We will definitely come back here!
The long lines to get in even on weekdays are well deserved. Approaching and experiencing Casa Guadalajara, you will be transported to a Mexican culinary adventure. There is so much ambience and culture here - eye candy at every turn. There was a mariachi band playing while we were here. The fajita, seafood, and margaritas we had were exceedingly delicious and flavorful.
Such an amazing experience. To start, there is a lady making tortillas up front. She gave us some fresh off the flattop!!!!! The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic, vibrant atmosphere. We also got a COMPLIMENTARY chips and salsa ? Lastly, I got fajitas and it was FOIRE. Definitely a legendary spot in San Diego.
Food was definitely good, 8/10. My favorite were the homemade tortillas and tortilla chips that are homemade right at the front of the restaurant! Great atmosphere with a mariachi band on the weekends which was super fun. The fajitas were definitely a winner.
