Seasonal & contemporary American fare. Seasonal dishes, seafood & rotisserie items in a refined hotel setting open breakfast to dinner.
We had branch in here. We could relax and take a rest in here while college campus tour in hot day. Locate close to The University of Pennsylvania & Drexel University.
Three words…outstanding, outstanding and outstanding! The beef short ribs nested in the best grits I have ever had. Clearly Kyle knows his way around the kitchen when he served the heirloom cornbread with honey and butter, followed by an apricot sauce over cream desert. You can see the attention to detail. New to the team, Kyle is doing the thing! Will make this stop the next time I visit Philly and so will everyone I tell.
I had dinner here and the food was great. Being right in the hotel and considering my dinner, I didn't even look for an alternative breakfast option. Boy, was that a mistake. I had sausage with eggs, home fries, and some toast. The sausage was just plain nasty. The casing was crusty and it tasted like it had been cooked 3 times over. The home fries had no taste whatsoever and the eggs were the equivalent of what is typically served at a breakfast buffet at a cheap hotel. Bottom line, if you want dinner, this place was wonderful. If you want breakfast, there's a Wawa just down the street.
The good was ok. The appetizer I ordered was cold. The cod was good, however was told that turnips were use, but when I bit into it I bit into an onion. I think that this place needs better management. It is in an excellent location and is laid out well. The menu is entirely too small. The food quality needs to improve
Everything was perfect! We got a great table by the window, had great service, and enjoyed delicious food and cocktails. The butternut squash soup, mushroom risotto, and cornbread were all so tasty and well-made. Highly recommend for the ambience and exceptional dishes.
This is my first time in Philadelphia, I was very hesitant on coming but I’m so glad I did! Shayenne and Wunn have exceptional customer service. They were attentive to any needs and made sure we were satisfied with our order. Food there is phenomenal, food came out fresh out of the kitchen. The chefs do know how to put their love into their food. The environment overall in that restaurant is very pleasant. Would definitely come back!!
We went for a “Sunday afternoon cocktail” and stayed for hours chatting with Steve the bartender and snacking on some of the bar menu items. All the cocktails were really good and the food was delicious. Definitely will be back, not many spots like this in west Philly.
The Coop looks great and the menu is short and varied (a good thing!) but the food is really quite bad for the price. I had the cod ($32!) and it was cold (undercooked) and tasteless in what resembled ditch water (apparently a bacon jus). I didn’t complain because I was in a large work party but I left almost the whole dish. Plenty of much better local options out there!
