Celebrated a good friend's birthday brunch last weekend and it was nice. 4-stars because it's obviously a pretty and classy place and because Jennifer took such great care of us. Also loved the special and semi private table they chose for us. On to the food. We started with the dressy oysters which were wonderful and since some couldn't eat oysters, we also had the clothesline bacon which was yum and a pretty fun spin to it. For main entree, most if not all had the steak and eggs and this for me was a bit underwhelming. Dessert was a slice of chocolate cake and we tried the lollipop cheesecake which came with cotton candy. This was quite enjoyable to share with our big group. The only thing I wished they had was a little complimentary birthday treat, not only did I have to specifically ask, it apparently was charged. It's really not the cost honestly, it's just always nice to do a little something for the birthday celebrant of the day, whether asked for or not. We all opted for the bottomless brunch and while I was personally just taking it slow, nice to see that my friends did enjoy when they went for more. :)

Visited here for lunch just after opening hours, and can unfortunately say I will not be returning. Maybe we didn’t order the right food, but regardless everything we had was not good. We did the prix fixe lunch, and while there weren’t many options, we settled on both getting the kale Caesar, and I got the burger and my friend got the short rib melt. We were not told that those automatically come with a side kale salad or we would have gotten a different starter. The kale Caesar was really lacking in flavor and definitely wasn’t a classic Caesar. To be fair, the menu did say vinaigrette, but I still was expecting it to taste like a standard Caesar. The burger was served on an English muffin making it very hard to eat without making a mess. The short rib melt was lacking in flavor, meat, and cheese. I wish I took a photo of my friends sandwich, she only ate half of it! On top of that, we both had stomach issues the rest of the day. The service is great and very attentive, and we loved the holiday decorations, just unfortunately did not have a good meal here.

DBT is a serviceable brunch on the Upper East Side. I had the mushroom omelette, and my partner had the chicken and waffles. Both were decent quality but nothing exceptional. The clothesline bacon we got for the appetizer was the pick of the brunch, when done right they were incredibly tender and had a nice sweet-savory flavor, although one strip was more overcooked than others and came out tough as leather.

I was very pleased the Hotel Pierre concierge recommended this neighborhood treasure! I was drawn for the rack of lamb and it was outstanding. With Swiss chard and the white beans it was a classic which exceeded my expectations. The cook was perfect . The visual was excellent. It was absolutely delicious and an incredible value at like $45! In this neighborhood? And there’s a Happy Hour menu too. If I could afford to live here I would be in this restaurant all the time. Go over and see what I mean. Thanks, David!

For my final dinner in NYC, I came to DBT which I've NEVER been to. I regret in all my years of living in the city for not coming here because in one night they met and exceeded my expectations. Beautiful restaurant set up, cute decor like penguins everywhere and absolutely delicious food. The lobster Dumplings is enough ALONE to want to come back. Loved my wait staff - I do not remember the name of the woman whom was training Sky but I do remember it was two of them and they were both phenomenal. I'm sorry I forgot your name - I blame the pregaming and the glass of wine.

I’m very happy with this restaurant, yesterday I celebrated my thanksgiving dinner with my spouse at this restaurant at the UES, it was a delicious the prefix menu was amazing, Delicious as usual. The staff always super friendly and our server last night was great. Miranda if I can recall her name well. She knew exactly what she was doing and thanks to all for being working on such an important holiday.

I've been to DB's Townhouse years ago and had such a great time and top notch food. Since the townhouse is no longer a resturant I decided to try DB Tavern to celebrate my birthday this past weekend figuring I would enjoy the food just the same. I was surprised at the menu options or lack there of... they ran out of selections that I chose. but I was there for a great time and great tasting the food. Let me get to the point, the food was mediocre. I ordered the porterhouse (the last one apparently) and it was just ok. But for $165 I expected it to be extraordinary, mouth watering, like none other. But no it was just OK. It was accompanied by spinach and potatoes. Again mediocre! Nonetheless I decided to take the remaining pieces of steak home to have steak and eggs the next day. When I opened the container that was packed for me by the waiter the only item in there was the bone. What happened to the remaining pieces of steak??? I will never dine at this place again. It was a terrible experience.
