Chic spot for American eats with a patio. A stylish destination serving American plates in a rustic-chic dining room & on a chill patio.
Very nice atmosphere! I enjoyed eating outside and the gentle water that was sprayed from the fans. I had a energetic friendly waitress. The main courses were very delicious. I was disappointed by the bread sticks just being slices up pieces of toasted bread. The onion rings and fries were ok. The drinks were good, except the lavender had too much lavender in it. The meat was delicious.
Ate here for the first time this past Wednesday and really enjoyed it. Sat outside where the weather was a perfect temperature. A tad windy, but not enough to cause any issues. Food was excellent (had the fire-roasted chicken that comes with a great corn mix and a side salad with tasty dressing. Also tried one of their spicy margaritas. Very interesting take--I liked it. Noise from Hwy 281 above was not a factor like we thought it might be. Service was very good. Get down there early to find parking under the Hwy 281 overpass next door and beat the crowds. Overall, a great first impression.
I believe this may be a re-review; I believe I’ve reviewed their fish tacos once. I had their filet recently and have got to say my only negative is it was only 6oz. Other than that, a really great steak. Great desert and drinks. They actually had my favorite whiskey (not pictured) and the sides and appetizer were also great. The atmosphere was nice and getting to see the basketball game at our window side table was pretty ideal. Shout out to Corrine (spelling?) for excellent service. A really wonderful dining experience and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone.
As mid as it gets. Prior to my visit to Down on Grayson I was excited because I had heard wonderful reviews by friends and family. However, my visit was terribly underwhelming. Everything was okay at best. I personally had the "Chopped Con" and it felt like it was just a (overcooked) burger patty with Kraft singles and guacamole slammed on top. The nachos had a similar feel, the cheese felt like it had just been microwaved and was all one single layer of cheese on top of about 10 nacho chips. I will admit the cheese was tasty though. My review is all based on the food. The staff themselves were all friendly and quick with their service. five stars for them.
The food was good! The club sandwich was a little burnt and the kitchen made a couple mistakes but overall this is a nice place for lunch. My husband loved his wedge salad. We even got to bring our golden retriever and she sat outside with us. They gave us a disposable doggy bowl for her.
If your hungry, arrive before 6:30 pm. Business really picks up after that. Fun place to meet friends with delicious food and a hip vibe. They were very busy but service was excellent! My husband had the Char Burger and I had the Crispy Chicken sandwich. He said one of the best burgers he’d had! I tried the Lavender Lemon Mock-tail - delicious!
The Staff is Amazing!! The atmosphere is so comfortable and relaxing. The spacing between the tables allows for a Great Dining experience. The Outdoor seating during the early day Breeze is just the Best. The Food was presented and cooked to perfection. So many choices on where to be seated, from cozy in doors to an outside non-smoking designated area. You will enjoy stopping by while walking your pet for a quick bite. The Bar area extends from indoors to directly seating outdoors if preferred. The Hostess' welcome you with a Smile and kindness and the Professionalism of whole Staff continues, making for a Warm, Fun and Welcomed experience. Parking is available and covered within just a 10 second walk, YES that close. This place is Amazing.
Very happy with my meal! Recommend the Cobb salad. A bit pricey, but fills you up! Also the grilled peppers were great - not what I expected with very little spice.
