El Vez

Ambiance is upscale and the place gets very crowded. Always go with reservation as getting table can be a challenge Or long wait. Our waiter was very attentive and was checking on us to ensure we have everything we need and are comfortable. we had make your own taco - Tofu and shrimp which was really really tasty and portions size was good worth the money. We also a pitcher of margarita which had good amount of alcohol. Overall i would like to come back even though it was little expensive experience.

1. This restaurant came highly recommended. Our expectations were not very high tho. 2. We ordered the black bean burrito and the cauliflower taco. They were decent. 3. We also ordered the mocktails they were very fresh and incredibly tasty. Would recommend it. 4. The ambiance was one of a kind. The booths were surprisingly large but still cozy. The party I was with ordered meat based dishes and they said it tasted good so I guess the meat options are better than the veggie options.

We loved our meal at El Vez. Although we were not able to obtain reservations, we were able to sit outside with plenty of heat from the heat lamps. This meant we avoided the two hour wait inside. We had the pomegranate margaritas. They were yummy and had a delicious tequila flavor. We also had the black bean enchiladas. The star of the show was most definitely the chargrilled steak tacos. Others in our group got the steak and shrimp tacos and if I had to do it again, I believe that was the perfect combination. The service at El Vez was also exceptional. The food arrived promptly and piping hot.

Though a little pricey, the food is definitely worth it. Well seasoned and perfectly cooked. We’ll definitely be back for the Macho Nachos. Though nachos seem basic, these are so well done with everything evenly distributed, dry flavorful, cheese melted perfectly, and shareable. We also ordered the tacos Al carbon (steak) and a margarita pitcher. The pitcher produced 4 drinks for $52 [pricey for the amount].

Been here twice and we have never been disappointed!! More then a small Mexican restaurant, this place blows you away with the seasoning, textures and overall experience of their environment! Staff is amazing and so is the decor.. Drinks are made with such interesting combinations and are mouth watering.

Perhaps the best Margaritas we ever had. The food was just as spectacular. You might have to wait for a table but your food will arrive within minutes and we went on Saturday night. Energetic atmosphere.

Great food. Drinks were awesome. We had sweet corn empanadas with original guacamole. And variety of enchiladas. Loved the vibe. It’s little loud (not necessarily a quiet dinner place). But a fun place.

I am from Texas where we have Tex Mex, but this is honestly the best Mexican food I've had anywhere other than Texas. I got the appetizers nachos and added pork, it was enough for one person. My friend go the make you own tacos with 2 choices of protein. If ever in Philly please try this restaurant. It is packed during dinner and can't place reservations ahead of time but worth the wait. Staff and service was amazing as well.
