Italian eatery with brunch & happy hour. All-day Italian in a casual space with a patterned tile bar, wood interior details, & patio seating.
This was my first time here at this location or any of the farmers table locations for that matter. The inside was quirky and warm with great decor and lighting. We sat out on the patio and our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. We got the short rib and the sea bass and everything was delicious. They have a fun selection of cocktails as well as beer and wine. They had a list of daily specials that also looked amazing, and the sea bass was actually one of them. I will definitely be returning We had a great time!
Had a lovely experience this morning at Farmers table. I had the chiliquilles and my kids had the pancakes and eggs Benedict. Love the coffee here! Meal was excellent as was the service. The place is gorgeous inside, also their Mary’s are off the hook cool looking!
Always good, service was great! I usually go to La Mesa location but tried this for lunch. Had the Salad and added salmon. The Salad and Salmon seemed bigger and was better at the other location but it was still really good. The salmon had no seasoning is all unlike the other location it was grilled with seasoning or something. Only waited 20 minutes with no reservation and it was packed.
This place is so unique. The interior decor is very cute and rustic. I came in for brunch on a Sunday, restaurant was busy and there was a little bit of a wait. We got the most amazing bloody mary along with the short rib Benedict, breakfast sandwich and an order of original pancakes. Everything was so good and the service was great.
First time here. Came here on a Saturday night and they seated us right away. They were still doing their San Diego Restaurant Week menu so I got their: crab cake, farmer's salad, sea bass, and tiramisu. My partner got the pappardelle and a free limoncello sponge cake for doing the Yelp check in. The entrees were the highlight, followed by the desserts. Service was a little slow and the salt on my sea bass fish was inconsistent -- there were some very salty bites and some bland bites. It really has a family-owned feel where the staff genuinely seems to enjoy each other's company.
Really enjoyed this place! I’ve been here a few times now and have had a great experience both times. Solid food and just the right portions. I got the short rib Benedict because I generally try them everywhere and it’s solid. I’m not as much of a fan of the potatoes but they are pretty standard and that’s my personal preference. The key eating here for Sunday brunch is to make a reservation!! Super important as they are always busy- one or the reasons why I come here for brunch is because this is possible to do. Service is a little slow so prepare to be there for a little longer than you think- there is usually a waitstaff close by if you do need something, but since it is always slammed give them a break!
I am giving 3 stars and writing the review for others ,to please verify how the food is prepared . I was attracted to the farm to table concept, however I was disappointed thinking I would have a true organic experience with my meal . I ordered the veggie omelette , when I asked the server if the eggs were shelled eggs, the server confirmed they were shelled eggs . I always ask for shell eggs and I have moved away from powdered /premade eggs a long time ago . I have been to other establishments that will accommodate my shell egg request also. The orange juice was not fresh squeezed OJ either .( the OJ tasted and reminded me of a store bought Minute Maid ) I did speak to the server and she did explain the OJ is a cold pressed process but was not freshly squeezed . ( big difference in taste ) The veggie omelette appeared to have an appearance of powdered eggs. It did not have the consistency or flavor of cracked shell eggs for the omelette. There were a few veggies inside the omelette as a tease . I did voice my disappointment to the manager named Ocean who was kind and understanding . She explained that the eggs are cracked in the morning and she sees the prep cook doing this . I kindly accepted her truth . Without further pushing the issue . I did eat my meal as I was tired and hungry from the long night I had . I was ready to pay for the meal , to my surprise Ocean removed the charge unexpectedly. . I feel the establishment has a great concept but there may be some learning curves with their servers and The way the meals are prepared .
Stopped on a whim driving through Bay Park. Glad we did. Great service, very friendly! Place was nice and welcoming and the food had a variety of options for breakfast ? ? and all erred on the creative side. Good for us, but if you’re a Denny’s person, stick to Denny’s, I guess. We got the chilaquiles and the jambalaya (breakfast version). The chilaquiles were tasty though not ?. Ok for most people. Good flavor and pretty authentic. The Jambalaya had shrimp ? and I ordered eggs over easy. Seems like the right way to go, the yolk, cooked perfectly, allowed me to mix into the rice, sausage, and shrimp. End result, a very very tasty breakfast jambalaya! We both had sides of breakfast potatoes, classically made and were tasty as well. My only caveat on the food is the side of fruit wasn’t as fresh as you’d like - probably a factor of using non-seasonal fruit. I’d suggest a rotating seasonal fruit ? plate for a side, considering it adds $4 to the price. The portions were massive, though, and considering organic was everywhere on the menu, the value per dish was great. Overall, a great experience both food, service, and location. They do a great job of insulating the venue from the strip mall feel, but it’s Bay Park in San Diego so it can never be too bad. Kudos to the chefs, cooks, servers, bussers, and hosts! Doing a great job ??- this is a good restaurant!
