Federal American Grill

Came here for a business mixer, had a couple of the appetizers and drinks. I tried the artichoke dip and a couple of their wines, margarita and old fashioned. I’ve always driven by, but it’s so well hidden, I did not know this location was so well situated near the loop. Their selection of wine and bourbon old fashioned was EXQUISITE! The way they prepared the margarita on the rocks was not my favorite, I suspect one of the mixers for the cocktail preparation was bitter. Highly recommend this restaurant for quick bites + drinks, especially if you’re a business owner with limited time. The service is prompt, efficient, professional and cordial. Just beware the staff does have a heavy hand when it comes to drinks.

Good value for what we spent. Convenient parking, table was ready and drinks was great. Overall good experience. I guess the only thing I would recommend, book a table far enough in advance so you don’t have to sit at the high tops.

We had a pre Christmas dinner with our coworkers here for the first time and it was a great experience. I ordered steak and wife got sea bass. The juicy steak is at least a notch or two better than your everyday steak house meat. Sea bass melts right after they go into the mouth (lol yes I stole a bite from wife). The rice pudding is delicious too, if you are a hot tea lover, their jasmine tea is a must-try as the fragrance is superb. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, server made sure we get what we want and recommended dishes as we were a bit clueless. Last but not least, you will smirk when using the man's room : )

Came on a Tuesday afternoon and I immediately noticed there was no diversity in the restaurant. My waitress was nice and helpful. I had to ask her if they had bread though. Glad I did, because the biscuits with the pepper jelly are fantastic!! I ordered the Bourbon Peach Smash drink with very little ice. As you can see from the picture, the glass MIGHT have been filled with a 1/3 of the actual drink and the rest would have been filled with ice! The fried asparagus came with crab meat and Parmesan cheese with melted butter. It made it too greasy, but it was tasty. The buffalo salad was average. The chicken was overcooked and kinda tough. In my opinion, they are way overpriced.

Deciding whether or not to grab a bite at ferderal grill? Don’t think any longer! Go! Reservations on open table were extremely easy to make. Walking in I felt an ease, like I chose the perfect restaurant for valentines, and I did!!! Dim lights, beautifully decorated, rose petals spread out on our linen at the table. I had the pleasure of having Salvador as our server. Request him if possible, service was more than I expected. Just amazing. The prefix menu was perfect! The wedge salad had a bits of pork belly which was out of this world. You won’t have a problem with your filet either, cooked to perfection. Ended the night with a cappuccino with our third course. These guys are great at what they do, hats off to them. Come give a try !!! Sincerely a very happy customer.

Pretty nice grill. Tried their breakfast sandwich. Potatoes have jalapeños so it’s a bit spicy. Parking. I notice on one side upfront there was self parking. Valet is complimentary. But for those of us who hate valeting (they always gotta rummage through my stuff for some reason), there’s a huge parking garage in the back. I posted some pics

I am definitely going back! We had a business meeting here and the food was mouth watering! I had the salmon which was absolutely delicious and their presentation is perfect!

My party of 2 came on a Saturday right after brunch. Only 3 other table tops of 3 or 4 were present with the same server and I have to say our service was a bit slower than I've experienced from other establishments. Be aware the water is TAP water, which we didn't drink. Too more than 30 minutes to receive our food when there was hardly anyone in the establishment. We ordered spinach artichoke dip, stuffed chicken with broccolini and mash potatoes, and buffalo chicken salad. Upon receiving our food, I had HAIR in my salad and requested a new dish. The salad was okay. The main issue I have was the lack of response from the server, Kara, and FOH manager on duty. Usually, when there is a sanitary issue such as HAIR, the server comps the dish or provides a percentage discount. We received nothing, but the bill in FULL. The issue isn't paying for the food, it's the lack of consideration from the restaurant staff. Will not be visiting again nor recommend.
