Drinks, Asian eats & old Hollywood feel. Old celeb photos decorate this watering hole built in 1939 & serving Asian eats alongside nostalgia.
Absolutely delicious. We celebrated a friend's birthday here. Doing family style for most of the food, but I did an order for soup dumplings. Let me tell you they were delicious! The desserts also did not disappoint. I can see why my friend loves it here?
Fantastic dinner spot. If you’re into Chinese-American food, this is a must-try. Everything across the board was delicious and flavorful, but one thing stood out from the pack and that was the BBQ Pork. The perfectly glazed crispy skin surrounded by the most tender, juicy pork meat was nothing short of phenomenal. Pairing that with the slaw on a Bao bun was absolutely heavenly to eat. Staff was friendly, food came out a little slow but it was a packed Friday night so I don’t blame them. Will absolutely be back here
This place is a home run. One of the oldest spots in the area (I’m told). The bathroom is definitely haunted by the restless souls of golden age Hollywood producers looking for one last bump of...great atmosphere. The train section is a blast. Food is delicious.
Loved going to this classic Chinese restaurant. When you first walk in you are in awww with the cozy and fun atmosphere. Really enjoyed the old Hollywood pics and the lighting. Had the beef and broccoli, and it was awesome. Also had to try the Mai Tai. Not big menu but dish was quality, so if you like Chinese food and in the area, definitely give it a try.
Management was so accommodating of my large party and was very sweet. We had such a great time at brunch/lunch and are looking forward to enjoying the rooftop bar in the summer.
If you really want to have what feels like a “still secret” old Hollywood experience, this place is amazing. The atmosphere is gorgeous, darkly lit with a wonderful ambience. The food is just as amazing. Highly recommend the steak with broccolini as well as the Kung Pow chicken. Wonderful family style so great for large parties or date night. The drinks are great too if you want to just sit at the bar. Highly recommend making a reservation (which is super easy anyways) so much fun. Love love this spot. And lots of places around you can go to before or after!
I really love dining on the cable car. It might take you a minute to be seated so just grab a drink at the bar. I love the food here and they even have vegan options. Cocktails are amazing and portions they serve are huge so watch out!
Definitely a tourist trap. Food was mid, but drinks were pretty good. Wait staff was evidently understaffed and the bartenders were loudly drunk. We paid for our meals on an app, which was kinda lame. Waitresses were very kind, but clearly overworked.
