Retro setting for modern fare. Modern takes on regional American cooking are served in a retro setting at this upscale eatery.
The food was great and they accommodated my large party of 10 without a problem. The deviled eggs are a must try. We tried the chicken fried steak and buttermilk fried chicken and both were delicious and the portion size is large. More than enough for leftovers. Also if you try a dessert try the carrot cake that was some of the best I've had a restaurant.
This was my first visit and plan to return soon. Outstanding service! Very well-prepared filet mignon. What else can I say? Our Christmas Eve dinner could not have been better.
A friend has raved about Frank's as one of her all time favorite places to eat great food for the soul. I now understand why. The service was terrific. Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and not over bearing. The raspberry Moscow mule mocktail was perfection. Deliciously muddled with fresh raspberries that iced in the cocktail exactly how I like it. Oddly this is something most bar tenders can't get right. The crab cakes were divine. Packed with mouth watering large jumbo lump crab meat and tasty flavors to accompany it. A great experience. I look forward to my next visit to Frank's!
Really good food and exceptional service. Water glass refilled constantly. Nice cocktails. Split the fried chicken, and still couldn't finish. Pickles are amazing. The biscuit/pimento app is sublime. Well worth a visit.
Such a refined display of new age American upscale comfort food remastered with classic cloth napkin service. The presentation was the only upscale razzle dazzle because the quality and flavor of the deviled eggs, pickled okra, my Gulf seafood platter and the missus' chicken fried steak was down home spot on. Classic from the sit down to the after meal house made sweet lagniappe with the bill was spot on. I think I made a great sporadic selection for this unassuming restaurant. I will look forward to dining with Frank at it's new location.
Can’t say enough good things about this place and about Chris (owner I believe). The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD good (I had the ribeye, wife had the flounder). We kept eating even though we were full. Wife got a mocktail, off menu, made on the fly, that was the best she’d ever gotten. The service was outstanding. Tried this place for date night based off OpenTable reviews, and they were above and beyond what we were expecting. It was high end steakhouse quality, delivered in a beautiful ambience, casual/not stuffy, and at a wallet friendly price. 10/10 recommend. Will most definitely be coming back. FYI it holds its own with Steak 48, 3 forks, Morton’s, Del Frisco, Papas, etc.
My ordered a medium well steak and I had to send it back because it was well done. When they returned with my steak it was well done again and very dry. My spinach and mashed potatoes were the only thing that was good. Our mixed drinks were also very weak. I would not go there again.
Update: I haven't been in awhile. I went in December 2020 and the place is the same with the same quality and service. My only update is that that the bartender was not consistent with wearing his face covering over his nose and mouth. At times he was talking to customers, including us, without any covering at all. Food: A Ambiance: A Service: A I've been dining at Frank's for several years. I like supporting local, family-owned businesses. The bartenders know how to make great, classic drinks. It's a place you want to go when you feel like being treated like a regular and enjoying good food. It's also a great date night place. The prices are very reasonable for what you are getting.
