Elegant cocktails & New American fare. Beloved corner eatery returns with a bar on the ground floor & New American dining upstairs.
Great place for a candlelight dinner or date night on a special occasion. The food was great as well. Service was also great and our server also recommended a great wine to go along with our meals. It was our anniversary celebration so the chef also sent a couple extra items in between the first and second course and at the end after dessert. Nothing extraordinary but a pretty good deal for 150 $ per person tasting menu.
*HIGHLY RECOMMEND* This is one of my favorite tasting menu restaurant in Philly. The restaurant itself has a very intimate setting, low light candle-lit mood; great for a date night or special occasion. An 8-course $130 meal is a lot but you're paying for the experience and the food, and it was definitely worth the splurge. Each course was very unique in flavor pairing and presentation. I thought that the course got better and better as it went down the list, with the entrees being my favorites. They most likely change the courses over the seasons but the steak and the veal they had were super tender and delectable. *VERDICT* Definitely would go again when occasion arise.
Second year in a row celebrating our anniversary here! The tasting menu is always AMAZING, highly recommend the beverage pairing with it! Service was excellent. I truly couldn't ask for a better dining experience in Philadelphia
Friday Saturday Sunday was incredible. The tasting menu was one of the best meals we’ve ever had, and was fully worth the price. Every dish was pretty spectacular, but our favorites were the veal cheek and the squid ink gemelli with scallop XO and razor clams. Excellent service and wine by the glass as well.
Fantastic food. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The quail, beef tartare, and gnocchi+sauce (not pictured) were my favorites but everything was really flavorsome. Thanks Friday Saturday Sunday team!
I'm at a lost for words for this place, I came in with not knowing what to expect and walked away with way past any expectations I could have had shattered. I normally don't like lamb but their take on the meat completely won me over. The quail was amazing it's 10/10 the second best dish only behind the tomatoes dish with creme fraiche, blackberry, eggplant which was completely breathtaking I took one bite and stopped eatting I had to enjoy every flavor. It is the absolute best dish I have ever had, I would recommend 100 times over, come and enjoy.
I came here by bus on a Sunday evening in mid June 2022. Through the online reservation, you pay for the $130-meal upfront. Including tax and gratuity, it came out to $169 total per person - all paid upfront, which was nice because, unless you want the wine pairing, you do not have to worry about anything when you get there. I found the meal quite delightful and filling. I had to bring the last savory dish home because I couldn't finish it. The Crudo and Spring Vegetables were very nice with delicate flavors. The rest of the meal left a huge impression on me and was surprisingly tasty. The Gemelli was salty but had the perfect amount of crunch with just enough pasta to keep you wanting more. The Sweetbreads was outstanding. It was a bit sweet, fatty, savory, creamy - it had everything! I'm so glad this was the first place I've ever had them. The sauce for the Fish dish was incredible. Perfectly cooked with just the right amount of cream and acidity - just divine. The Grilled Quail was ridiculously good. Perfectly cooked with just the right amount of flavoring and acidity. I never had a quail I liked this much. That pate that came with it and the bread was to-die-for. BBQ Veal Cheek was also very balanced and super tasty. Too bad I was already SO full. The dessert was very nice as well. They even gave me an extra pastry and hot tea for dessert for free. Getting reservations was surprisingly easy. I just booked the night before and I found an open seat. Mind you, I'm only one person so reservations are generally easier. Definitely worth a try if you're in Philly.
A perfect meal all around. The sweetbreads, the halibut, the half moons…wow. Great warm and not so stuffy ambience too. Felt like a great combo of Rittenhouse proper, relaxed chill and cozy upstairs vibes in winter. Can’t wait to come back.
