I am not really sure where to start with this review. Based on our experience, it’s possible the restaurant is struggling. The prices you pay and portions of food you get don’t add up. We ordered wings which was supposed to be tossed in a garlic soy sauce and yet there was barely any sauce on it… they did give us about a teaspoon of sauce at the bottom of the plate though. The fried rice also came out very small — the taste was just bland; when we ordered shaking beef it was the same small serving and not a whole lot of flavor. We ordered tea and it was extremely watery. We let it sit for a while hoping it will steep and give more of an enjoyable drink but no. They seemed understaffed so my only guess is that they hiked up prices and reduced portions in hopes of increasing profit. This would work great if they didn’t sacrifice the actual flavors of their dishes in the process. Nonetheless, best of luck.

Good food and service. Atmosphere was good. I would recommend this place. The drinks was a little expensive and not especially great. They don't serve alcohol when I went. I'm not sure if they do now. But I tried to find places that sell alcohol and they all closed at like 6pm. So if you wanna bring your own, you better get it before you eat at this place.

Gabriella’s was an amazing experience. Really diving into authentic Vietnamese food, everything was beautifully made and so delicious, BUT more importantly refreshing. Besides the dumplings, every dish was served family style were you make your own wrap with the ingredients (so expect to get a little messy). The flounder was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The beef with its dipping sauce melted in the mouth. The creeps were amazing as well as the dumplings. Ever dish came with mint to add to your creation. The entire meal again was amazing and refreshing. It was a perfect place for a birthday celebration and also to experience something new. Make sure to bring a bottle of wine like a Resiling to match with your food.

Lovely restaurant, good service and good food. We tried 3 dishes - banh beo, fried flounder and shaking beef. All 3 dishes are good, especially the beef dish, which melt in your mouth. I like vegetables are added in all dishes and make it feel more refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try some hotpot and the vermicelli platter with my parents. Good find!

Gabriella’s is in Philly Mag’s top 50 restaurants for a reason. While all the food we ordered was absolutely delicious, what stood out the most to me was the service. It was our first time there, and John was attentive, friendly, and informative about what to expect for each dish, how they’re eaten, etc.

The food was delicious! We got the salted egg fried rice, the Brussels sprouts and the sizzling catfish. It’s a little pricy but they do not skimp on the portions. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because we were waiting for our catfish for 45 minutes after we received our other two dishes. It was delightful when it came but a bit of a weird pause! Brussels sprouts were the star.!

My wife heard this place was written up on the paper so we made reservation for four. The restaurant's name is not traditional but the food is traditional family meals, but elevated to the palate. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Best of all, no allergy reaction for my two daughters, which is always a challenge at Vietnamese restaurants. The Banh Xeo, Bo Luc Lac, Sizzling cat fish, Soft Shell Crabs, Seafood Fried Rice we're all amazing main course. I washed it down with the Chanh Muoi/pickle lemon drink and boy, that was the best! We'll be back in the spring/summer when the weather is warmer so the cold air coming through the entrance won't be such a bother.

Honestly one of my favorite places in Philadelphia. We will be coming back very soon! Gabriella's Vietnam is unlike any other Vietnamese restaurant in the country! For us, the soft shell crab was our favorite followed closely by the banh khot (mini coconut pancake). Service was good despite being very busy.
