Neighborhood Mexican restaurant & bar. Neighborhood spot for Mexican dining & drinks in a casual space with carved wood chairs & a patio.
Amazing food! This place is spot on! The salsa, the chips, the queso! All of the entrees hit! Here is why it’s a three star. We came, We’re told it was a 15 min wait. Ended up waiting 35 min to be seated. A table of 10 were seated before us along with another couple who came after us. The manager forgot about us even after I reminded her. If it’s going to be a wait, be honest! And don’t forget about your customers. Great food yet bad customer service will damage your reputation and business.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. They have the freshest margaritas and a fun atmosphere. Always super busy. Haven’t had much of their food but really enjoy the salsa they bring out with chips. Super fresh ingredients!
This place was on point. it did take our server a while to come to the table. but he was very polite, friendly and helpful. Our margaritas were very good and the food was excellent. Came put hot, very fresh and just like we ordered it!! as a matter of face let me give the entire staff a thank you because all of them were moving!! anything we asked for they brought it quickly and I never ran out of water!! thank you for that!! Me and my mom definitely enjoyed and can't wait to go back!!!
Amazing service. Came in with family for a late birthday dinner. Staff very attentive. Food is definitely 5 stars. Definitely recommend to stop by for a bite to eat or any special occasion
I loved it the first time I went here but it had been years since I had gone until I went spontaneously this weekend, and it was the highlight of my weekend. We walked into the restaurant and they immediately checked for proof of vaccination and we were promptly seated. I went with my friend and we both ordered margaritas. Mine was a blueberry margarita and he ordered a frozen coconut margarita. They're around 11 bucks each and they both tasted amazing. Keep in mind that they are huge, there's probably 2 drinks in each marg so you're definitely getting your money's worth. For appetizers we had chips, salsa, and guacamole. They were all super tasty and the chips were fresh. I got 2 tacos and he got the Garcia's Favorite combo which consists of a taco, a tostada, and 2 enchiladas. All the food was super flavorful. The portions are big so you'll definitely have leftovers to take home! Overall, this is a restaurant with really great food and really big portions so you're definitely getting your bang for your buck.
Friendly staff, tasty food (in HUGE portions), lively atmosphere - it's a neighborhood staple. I tried the Camarones Veracruzana, wanting something lighter than my typical enchiladas - the shrimp were perfectly cooked, though the sauce was sweeter than I'd expected... a big squeeze of lemon helped a lot, and the salad + avocado was a fresh and delicious addition. My husband had the Chicken Fajitas, his go-to order, and it was juicy and delicious as always. The main drawback is the noise level during busy times - at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, we practically had to shout to talk with each other. Don't bring your hard-of-hearing parents during peak hours! :-)
It's exactly what you need when craving Mexican food and a good chips and salsa set up. You aren't going to encounter earth shattering flavors but the service is good, food consistent, and good portions. Maybe not the most "authentic" but always good.
By far our favorite Mexican Restaurant in Chicago. It never disappoints. The staff are courteous and efficient. Our server Jennifer was excellent. They accommodated 6 of us including 2 little children. Their Covid precautions are great. The place is very clean and large enough to accommodate parties. And the food is absolutely the best. And man those Margaritas are the best!!!
