Longtime staple for breakfast & more. Basic staple since 1950 for breakfast (omelets, pancakes & the like) & other short-order fare.
Simple and good food. Was trying to take my time to look at the menu and they kept coming every minute to basically force me to order! Not pleasant therefore minus the star. The coffee was very watery and didn’t even finish it. Food is good but they rush you out so if you’re trying to have a nice breakfast without being rushed definitely skip this place.
Convenient location and plenty of seating available on 2 floors. Service is pleasant and prompt. Food arrives quickly as it was not too busy on a weekday morning and the food is well prepared. There’s still clear plastic screens between tables and it does help with making the tables a bit more private to chat and not disturb others in the process.
We went to eat breakfast here twice during our stay. It was close to our hotel, but it was also very good. Quick and friendly staff, run by a professional and jovial family. The food was excellent and I appreciate the syrup that came with our pancakes and waffles, because a lot of other breakfast spots charge extra for syrup.
Stopped by Georges for breakfast this morning after visiting the 9/11 memorial. There was a bit of a wait because the restaurant is BUSY! Rightfully so, breakfast was great! I had a turkey bacon egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel and my BF had scrambled eggs with home fries, turkey bacon w/ a side of toast. Overall it was a nice experience, food came quick. No issues with our order. They serve more than just breakfast, and it’s a Few minute walk from the memorial + world trade shopping center so take the walk if you’re hungry.
Wait time was a bit long since it was breakfast rush hour. Food came out great. It was basically how I remembered from other diners in NY. We really enjoyed our food. Layout upstairs was a cramped and hardly has space but service was good and I thought the grab and go downstairs was a great addition.
Came here for a quick lunch in between meetings, and it was across from our hotel. The staff were very friendly and we had great service. It was pretty busy the whole time we were there. It’s a nostalgic little diner, and the sandwich I got was really great. We’ll come back here again.
Three of us had breakfast here and we were luckily seated quickly and politely. The servers came over right away to starts with drinks like coffee and juice. The menu had soooo many food options and variety to order from. I couldn’t make up my mind but ordered a steak sandwhich which was amazing.
We had breakfast at George’s twice during our vacation. The staff is nice, there is a large selection of breakfast variations (pancakes, eggs, avocado toasts, yogurt with fruit). From 9:00 the place fills up but the staff is very eager to take orders quickly. Our food was always fresh, the coffee was delicious. We would come back anytime we are in NY.
