New American fine dining & a buzzy bar. Danny Meyer's Flatiron District tavern with a fixed-price-only dining room & a bustling bar area.
Celebrated our anniversary here last night. Food was really good, good portions and really tasty. The staff were really friendly throughout. It's not a place for a quiet meal, especially in The Tavern where you're sat close to the bar - but once we adjusted to the noise it have a great atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.
I mean this place is LEGENDARY. Chef Aretah is a stud, and puts together some amazing dishes. I have never walked away from here less than 1000% satisfied. I can't recommend the burger enough, there's a reason it's a NYC staple. Drinks were excellent, and the energy/vibe in the place was amazing. There's something about walking in here that is so special. The smells and sights, the way the food is presented, the detail by the serving staff and front of house. It's always a unique experience being at Gramercy.
You must have reservations, it was packed. I sat at the bar and it was fantastic. The bar tenders were helpful, nice and accommodating ( food allergies and diet requests were easily figured out and adjusted). The decorations for fall were beautiful. The food was amazing. Great seafood platter and burger. Specialty drinks and desserts topped it off!! Love this place
Amazing experience at Gramercy Tavern. So, it was our first time visiting Gramercy Tavern, and we actually got recommended by several people. It was totally amazing time. The atmosphere was casual but very well operated at the same time. Gramercy Tavern has two parts in the restaurant. ‘The Tavern’ is where you can sit casually around the hole area and order A La Carte, but if you make reservation for the ‘Dining Room’, you’ll get Five course tasting menu which you’ll be seated further inside of the restaurant. Wine listing, cocktail menu was amazing. We started with two Martinis and a cocktail called Fig. All of the course menus were very delicate and well served. It’s not as fancy as other fine dining restaurant, but you can enjoy fancy good food with a casual atmosphere! Highly recommend for people who would like avoid touristic overpriced restaurant!
We got in for my friend's birthday. The ambience is really well curated and iconic. The drinks were fabulous and the service at the bar was great. Everyone was happy with their meals. The vegetarian mushroom dish was a little salty and not very exciting. Understandable since this is more of a meat centric restaurant. Definitely worth a try if you can get a coveted reservation.
A 10 out of 10. This Michelin starred restaurant is a must go to. Impeccable service, beautiful food with incredible flavours, and a dining room is stunning. The floral arrangements are at the wow level. One of the most memorable meals we've had in years. Well worth the experience and cost. :)
Great experience at dinner here for a family celebration. The set course doesn't overwhelm and tasted great ! Dint try the wine pairing though. My favourite in the set course was the steak and the dark chocolate dessert. The cocktails are strong and bar did a great job with it. Service was attentive and friendly, and they paced the course just right. The experience was worth the money I felt.
This review is for the Dinner Tasting Menu. As I have not enjoyed many other plates that are available. Decided to have our anniversary dinner at the tavern. We enjoyed the Five Course Chef's Seasonal menu, the service provided by the entire staff was very pleasant. Everyone was so attentive and helpful with any request. We will definitely return for future dinners. The reason for not receiving a five star review is because I am not of fan of purée food. It was very tasty, but not my preference. I will gladly give a five star review once I return to try future seasonal dinner tasting menus. At the end of the day I would still recommend for all to experience. Thank you to the entire staff!
