Hofbrau Steak House & American Grille

First time experiencing Hofbrau. We had four of us and got to enjoy relaxing on the front patio. Service was fast friendly and very fast. We ordered the chicken sandwich/chicken tenders/north woods pasta and nachos. First of all the hand breaded chick tenders where the best I have ever had and the rest of our guest were also amazed by the quality and flavor!! We will be back!! Great job!

The service was good. They forgot a saled no big deal and cooked a med rare steak to very rare. The food here is really good. I had the cod. Portions are very filling. And the peanut butter pie is amazing! Be prepared to spend a little bit. It was 100 plus tip for 2 of us. Overall I would recommend.

If you are looking for a great meal in Interlochen Michigan, look no further, go to the Hofbrau immediately! The food has been excellent every time we've been there, no matter what we ordered, and their chicken wings may be the best I've ever had. The staff have always been great, they know their trade and can get the food to your table hot, even if you have a larger group like we tend to. The owner is there often enough that if you stop in a few times you're sure to meet him, he's wonderful to spend a night talking to and has the best stories about his life making the Hofbrau the cool place it is today! As to their drink selection, if you can't find it there you may have a problem. The drinks are quick to arrive at your table, are reasonably priced and there range of exotic drinks is impressive. The Hofbrau has lots of room indoors, but their outdoor seating, in season of course, is not to be missed! They are also close enough to the Interlochen Center for the Arts campus that they, on occasion, get a famous person or two as patrons for a night, but please let them enjoy the evening in peace just like you are doing. All in all, the Hofbrau is really quite perfect no mater what you want to eat or drink, if you are alone or with a huge group and whether you want to sit indoors or out! By the way, the photos I posted were taken in the middle of a horrific blizzard, otherwise the place is usually quite busy...

So I haven't had a steak that I was happy with in about 2 years (that I did not cook or that my dad didn't cook) I came and saw the Ribeye and initially balked at the price because every steak I've ordered over the last 2 years was garbage. Every place screwed it up. Not here. Server was awesome super nice and easy to chat with. Wife enjoyed her pizza. (Leftovers to be had) I decided to gamble on the steak. I. WAS. NOT. DISAPPOINTED! I have not had a steak this good in at least 2 years. Until now. I will be hounding my wife to come back up here on vacation for a while.

Absolutely amazing food! Great atmosphere and staff. I haven't been there since covid. But we had an amazing dinner and will be back soon!

Tasty German food and good beer! Nice bar area. I had the Weiner and spatzel with kraut. Everything was really tasty!

I had the stuffed shrimp, with rice and broccoli. Very good Husband had the RibEye. He lived it Friendly and knowledgeable bartender

I've been to Hofbrau about four or five times. I have had pizza, sandwiches, and entrees from here. My family and I enjoy ordering a lot of things and sharing so we get to sample a lot of different foods. I have enjoyed the sandwiches, and pizza the most. I really like the large drink menu. There have a lot of craft beer choices and cocktails. I enjoy coming to Hofbrau whenever I visit Interlochin. The wait for food took a bit of time but I'll wait for good, hot food. I would rather have it fresh and tasty than fast. Service, overall, is fast and friendly.
