Hotel Contessa

This hotel was wonderful to stay in while visiting San Antonio. I love that it's right off of the river walk. Front desk is super friendly, rooms are clean and spacious and the food in the restaurant was all delicious, especially the breakfast! We were so grateful we got to check in early, huge bonus. It was fun to chill in the rooftop hot tub at night. And also, the smell of this hotel... I just love it. So refreshing. Thank you for our lovely stay!!

I loved this hotel since the first day I set foot in it. The location, the food and friendly staff complement the ambience. The rooms are very clean and the service is awesome. I recently held my daughter's Sweet Sixteen there and the staff made the event so beautiful and made my daughter feel special. Ms.Monica and Mr. Vincent, thank you for going out of your way to make the event excellent. I appreciate each of the staff members. Keep doing what you are doing ?

Absolutely incredible!! Great value in a world where value and service is becoming scarce. Jonathan checked us in, he was professional, friendly and accommodating Food was excellent! (I am an ex Chef!) loved the fried green tomatoes and old San Antone omelette. Drinks were on point and reasonably priced Thurston the Concierge was amazing!! Melissa at the Restaurant desk was very attentive, friendly and professional. Place was spotless, modern, quiet, relaxing. Pool was wonderful, the music was spot on, upbeat but not in your face. Great location on the river walk. Bed was crisp comfortable and fresh. Loved the suite, I could wake up before my wife, get coffee and frustrate myself by watching news as she completed her Royal slumber. We will be back!!

This hotel blew my expectations out of the water! It’s right on the River Walk and walking distance to restaurants, shops, the Alamo and Market Square. All the staff were kind and helpful. Check in and check out was seamless. The Ambler which is the on-site restaurant has awesome food and drinks. The suites are tastefully decorated and the beds were comfy. The rooftop pool area was super relaxing. As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I was grinning from ear to ear, especially after I had picked a lousy hotel at our stop prior to San Antonio. I would stay again and again and highly recommend to my family and friends! Thank you for the amazing stay!

Our favorite hotel in San Antonio. Been here several time and we always love and come back when we have time. Love how the room set up, suite with nice sitting area separate with the bed room. If you have kids , they will enjoy this room more than other place. I love the outdoor sitting by the Marriage Island , so quiet and peaceful especially in the morning.

I had a wonderful experience. I stayed in a corner room with a King bed on the 9th floor. I had a lovely view of the holidays lights along the river walk and the city. Each single has a nice living room area perfect for meetings/gatherings if you are traveling with a group of for a conference. The towels, bedding, and bath products are high quality. ?? I also had a lovely spa experience with and also happened to be in town during there free holiday event. Thanks to Garrett for my Swedish Massage ??

The GM, Mr. Waters and the entire staff were amazing & made our trip so relaxing & nice. They went above & beyond to provide us a wonderful stay. A great time, we will never forget. Beautiful room. Great views. We hope to return next Dec 2023 so we can enjoy the beautiful lights along the riverwalk & see the hardworking staff again, at the beautiful Hotel Contessa. Thanks, Larry & Rose

Cons: The furniture is old and stained, but honestly it kind of adds to the charm. Pros: Great staff, great food, clean and quiet room, great location. We enjoyed talking to Adan in the dining room and the women at the front desk. The lobby/bar is beautiful and the drinks are hotel priced but strong and worth it. We could hear people when we were in the hallway but we didn't hear any noise in our room at all. Centrally located downtown right on the beautiful riverwalk.
