I wish I could leave 10/10, and a great shout out to Juan at the bar. He is the star of the show. I loved the food and drinks, must try passion fruit martini. And service was above and beyond. Wonderful atmosphere with great relaxing music and flowers all around. Can't wait to be back!

This is an LA classic! This location has been here since 1985 and always amazing! There is nothing I can't recommend on the menu. Whatever you order will be among the best you've had! Crab cakes, Famous Ivy Salad (it's a meal) add a protein like Scallops and/or shrimp, Steaks are first rate and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend!!@

I am pleased to share my Sunday brunch experience at the IVY Santa Monica. Beautiful venue & strategic location by the pier, very convenient valet parking service, friendly and kind staff, efficient dining service, and adorable ambiance and decors. It was a lovely place to enjoy your Sunday morning-afternoon, people watching, and breathe the ocean fresh air. Food was delicious, well-seasoned, tasty. Drinks are fruity, generous portion, and just right hit the sweet spot on my palate. I love how clean and spotless the lady’s room is, how the floral uniforms the staff are wearing, and fresh flowers (roses) on each tables. It is a very cute spot for a daytime date too. I’d recommend the valet parking, totally worth the trip and time to dine here on a busy Sunday of the Labor Day weekend. ?✨????

I have been to the Beverly Hills location a few times and would say I prefer there over this Santa Monica location even though it’s been open since 1985. In my opinion they have the best Red Velvet Cake I have ever had but it is overall the meal is overpriced for what you get. Also parking in this area is a lot trickier, your best option will be valet or one of the pay lots next-door for $15 for two hours. Our server was polite, although very busy tonight. This is a bit of a tourist trap in my opinion but still there are some good dishes. I started off with the Crab Cakes and they were pretty good although not great. I think they are overly expensive for $25 for three small cakes so I would not recommend ordering it. For my entrée I had the special for the evening: the Branzino & Shrimp. The Branzino was very tasty, although the shrimp was the tiny piece shrimp that you get in a regular shrimp salad. Wish it was prawns or something larger. The cannelloni beans on the side was a strange choice in my opinion, I would’ve much rather had a small salad, or even a type of rice. For dessert I got what I always get when I go to any Ivy location and it’s the old-fashioned Red Velvet Cake. As mentioned, it’s the best Red Velvet Cake I’ve ever had and would highly recommend it. I would honestly go there just for the cake. Overall, I know this is a famous LA restaurant that’s been open since 1985, but I honestly would not recommend it over many other locations in town. It’s not bad but it’s definitely not great. Also, this is more of a casual place to go with friends or family. I would not suggest it as a business dinner or a date spot.

The restaurant setup was nice, the waiters were friendly but the food (Breakfast) was average. We had: 1. Orange Juice 2. Carrot and Orange Mix Juice 3. Soft scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and Capri toast 4. Huevos rancheros I tried the dinner at the original restaurant in Robertson Blvd and had a better experience.

Definitely a tourist trap (or for people who do not know food). Pricey / ridiculously priced dishes for the quality restaurant provided …un-fresh ingredients (veggies looked pre-cut and likely sat there for hours). My tartare did not look fresh and oysters were the tiniest I had in my life (and I’ve traveled globally for good food) Place looked out-dated with lack of taste decor (beach shorts in a frame next to the table for customers to stare at while eating) . I definitely do not recommend if you like fresh ingredients or good food, and also pay ridiculously prices for them.

Fantastic spot for brunch, the food is delicious and flavorful and thé décoré is relaxing and romantic. Great service

Found this place while walking around Santa Monica. Once inside we were kindly welcomed and given a table right away. Beautiful view of the ocean. Waiter was very helpful and very attentive with the refilling of water and wine. You will not be disappointed eating here. All aspects were 5 star material. Recommend the lobster ravioli, it was delicious.
