Converted firehouse with Southern fare. This spot slings BBQ & Southern food in a converted 19th-century firehouse with mahogany interior.
Do not recommend. The only reason why this is not a 1 star is because of the cornbread and the service. The kitchen is constantly messing up orders. The burger we asked for is medium, we got well done. We got a salad and it was missing the cheese topping. Omelette was underseasoned. Crab cake was normal.
Enjoyed lunch here. The service was friendly and prompt. The wrong food was brought out the first time but was caught shortly by the staff. The burger I had was ok. I thought there would be more flavor from the description. It wasn't bad, but tasted like a regular burger. Overall, I had a good experience here and wouldn't mind trying something else next time.
Went there for brunch and was not disappointed. Split 2 entrees and they were kind enough to plate them separately. The French toast was great. Crispy outside and moist inside. The syrup and butter combo was ridik. The crab cake was fresh and that biscuit was gigantic. It didn't look like a lot at first, but by the time you were done eating everything, I felt very full from just the crab bennies. They even started the meal with complimentary corn muffins and ended the meal with small cookies. Great treatment and will definitely be back.
Really good food and friendly service. Just a little too slow for my family. Took over an hour and half for our simple dinner. Salads were great and the Philly Cheesesteaks meat was great, but the bread was not good.
Food was OK. Atmosphere was good. Service both times was ok. I'd go back. It would have been nice to know the first time I was there that a 20% tip is automatically added so I ended up paying extra.
Very friendly staff. Service was quick and accurate. The portabella sandwich was good. Came with cheese and pesto which was delicious. Nice selection of wines by the glass along with beers and cocktails. The interior is really nice and dark wood throughout.
Posting a review per my wife’s visit this passed Wednesday. “My friend and I went for the first time on Thursday and thought it was a really nice cozy restaurant. The food and service was good. Although I did think it was a little pricey but still enjoyed it and said I would bring my husband back. However as we were wrapping up our dinner my friend noticed a mouse. She tried stomping her feet a couple of times and the mouse would run and then come back out. By the fourth time it had made its way to our table. We did alert the waitress and she even saw it one time. She did apologize and giver us our bill. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot more restaurants had mice but this was the first time I’ve ever been to a restaurant and saw one while trying to eat which is unacceptable.”
Jack's Firehouse is always a favorite go to! Amazing food, drinks and service as always. Yuri's personality and service were outstanding! I highly recommend you visit. ?
