Branch of a casual seafood chain. Informal seafood chain serving crab buckets & stuffed shrimp, plus American comfort dishes.
We had one of the nicest server. I have never been to Joe's crab shack before, therefore I had many questions about the menu and ingredients. After deciding we ordered, coconut shrimp and fish and shrimp platter. They all came with fries, two hush puppies and coleslaw. Shrimps were delicious and so was the fish and for drinks we I got virgin pinacolada with strawberry and wife ordered, banana and berry drink. Both of them were refreshing. Overall experience was great
I went here for my birthday a few days ago, it was awesome. First of all the food was very delicious and well cooked. It was a very nice place and the wait time wasn't too long either. The people were very nice and I even got sung happy birthday, and got a Sundae. I would definitely recommend coming here.
Food was great and the price was reasonable! The 4 stars is due to the speed of service. I started to change my mind on the desert after waiting so long for the opportunity to order it. Then waiting on my check, oooweee. All in all it was a good experience but I think that has most to do with my day and time on the river walk, Wednesday, around 3:00 pm.
No wait for lunch when nearby restaurant was 45 minutes. The food was excellent. Six of us all had different dishes. I had the Joe’s Garden Salad with blackened chicken. The coconut shrimp was also a huge hit (the pineapple salsa was fabulous)! Mahi Mahi tacos were another hit. But the just puppies were the hands down favorite! Drinks were good. And Roman was an excellent waiter. Overall, it was a great experience and we all left stuffed with no room for dessert.
Celebrating our anniversary on the river walk. Came in for a late lunch, 3:30p, requested an empty table with a view of the river but was told by the manager that it was being held for a larger group; table of 6. If this place was busy I would understand but the place is empty. Hostess was rude and unprofessional. The manager claimed someone was waiting on it after advising him his restaurant was empty. 30 minutes later the table is still unoccupied.
Service was great. Food was ok, had good portions, but not a great deal of flavor. Over prices for what it is. But it's more about the atmosphere when you come here.
the service is slow, they took time to take our order. but the food is really good. It's a nice place
First, if you sit at a booth, be ready to feel cramped since there is no room to move the table, and it was only three of us. I ordered “ The Atlantic,” and it was utterly awful. For a steam pot that is $47, small, and was overcooked to the point the meat was super tender, dry, and glued to the shell with an old bay throw on top. My husband and mother tried a small bite and spit it out. Our waitress came to the table and asked how everything was, but before we could talk, she left and was nowhere to be located. At the very end, she came with the check, and we explained what was wrong. She went up to her manager and explained to him, but he stated that most of the seafood the season was moldy, but he will stop by. I told him, and he said that is how meat is supposed to be cooked, but I have been working in a professional kitchen for 10+ years and that it’s overcooked. He stated we should have said something instead of eaten it, but he was looking at an untouched plate beside a small piece of crab, plus we waited most of the time to place our orders. He said he would handle it. He just discounted a $15 kitchen error, so please go somewhere else where you can get good, hot, and better service.
