LOVE. First time here and I can't believe I haven't been here more often. We were worried that since there were no reservations there would be a wait but we went 5:30pm on a Wednesday and got in immediately. Others were waiting in line when we left though. MUST TRY: soup dumplings (we had the pork) and the scallion pancakes to start. Amazing. I could go there and just eat soup dumplings. Then we got a variety of noodles and fried rice. The portions were pretty big depending on the dish - some larger than others. We took leftovers to go. Delicious - go there. Lots of variety, quick service, so good. Cash only!

This has been my favorite meal of New York. We had a wait for our table of 6, but it was worth it. Everything was served family style. The General Tso's Chicken was some of the best I've ever eaten. We also tried each soup dumpling. The pork soup dumpling was my favorite. The crispy pan fried noodle was something I've never had, but it was so flavorful. Food came really quickly. I can't wait to get back!

Loved the dining in experience in terms of attentiveness and interior. The pork and crab soup dumplings were really good and packed with soup. We had some other main dishes but they were quite average/1-dimensional in taste since it was basically tossed in sweet & sour chili sauce ??‍♀️.

Definitely worth the wait. Cash only. Don’t expect great service. But the food was definitely on point. Everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The soup dumplings are a must. The seafood noodles had the perfect ration of salty to saucy. Every bite into the soup dumplings packed a punch. Overall good experience.

We order the soup dumpling with crab which is phenomenon ! It is delicious ! . We also get a pork soup dumpling also ( My parent like it more than the crab since it has no little shell). Anyway, the noodle is too plain, the fish and crispy beef are way too sweet. I actually would like to give 4.5 stars but it’s not allow. The gratuity is added 18% but we gave 35% because the service is fast. A lot of tourists, luckily we came early so we don’t have to wait for a table.

If you go to Joe’s and don’t get the pork soup dumplings, we can’t be friends… it’s a rite of passage. A warm hug. A beautiful gift you’re rewarded with after that long wait to be seated… just do it. Don’t ask questions. The dumpling is definitely bigger than what I’m used to, but the broth? Amazing! This restaurant is cash only, but the food is incredible. There’s a wide range of dishes that even the most pickiest eater will be satisfied. I also love how this place is family style and you’re able to try a mix of everything if you don’t want to commit to eating just one dish.

Delicious crab soup dumplings, the soup is very flavourful and fragrant! They were served nice and hot, in the bamboo steamer with a lid on top to keep the dumpling hot and helped prevented the dumpling skin from drying out. The place looks to be recently renovated since it looked much better than the older pics of the place. The decor is very modern. I would definitely return for more crab soup dumplings the next time I'm in New York!

The only thing that I didn't like here was cash only (they already included 18% tax). The food and service was very nice, and they provide orange at the end of the meal. I recommend what I had here! Scallion pancake, duck and eggplants were all very delicious!
