Beachfront American fine dining & drinks. Destination for refined takes of surf 'n' turf with acclaimed view, cocktails & people-watching.
Great place by the beach. Love the environment and setup. Great food and drinks. Stopped here for brunch with the family, visiting from Northern California. Loved the food! Our waiter Arnold was excellent, very nice and respectful. Drinks were also great.
I have dined at this restaurant a few times. They have a great bar, inside dining, outside dining, and most all tables have a view of the ocean. The seafood dishes are very good and the cocktails are tasty. I’d recommend getting a reservation if you have a bigger party and I know you can also host private events here as well. It’s a nice higher end feel restaurant close to the beach.
We came here only for drinks, so we didn't try the food. Drinks were very well prepared and will definitely will come back for those and will give a try to some food, although we saw that the cooks were preparing some sushi and they had some shallots from supermarket bags. I'm not an expert on that but I thought any ingredient they're using should be fresh and not from those kind of frozen bags you can get at any supermarket. Service is excellent!
I wandered in without a reservation on a week night and had a lovely dinner, watching the sunset. The server was polite and friendly. The overall atmosphere has a cool vibe. I highly recommend the Hefeweizen on tap to drink and the So Cal Clam Chowder was chef's kiss! I took the carrot cake to go but it looks like a work of art. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other intriguing menu items.
We came here for some drinks and appetizers. The atmosphere and views are excellent as is the customer service. I had the oysters which were pretty good. The lobster sushi roll we got was just OK. For the price could have been a bit better.
Just can't get enough of this oceanfront hot spot. We were local visitors for over six years and have seen the JRDN make strong leaps in both customer service and transitional-dining design. The entire restaurant now has easy indoor/outdoor flow and is at its exhilarating best. A seat on the patio guarantees the most enjoyable people-watching in town — rollerbladers, bicyclists, strolling tourists, and dog-walkers all out making the most of life. It simply sparkles with life and happy energy, and the ambience is incredible. No matter the temperature or marine layer, the JRDN can crank the heat, provide umbrella shade, or block the wind, all with outdoor seating that's unrivaled. And then there's the consistently delicious modern menu, exceptional service, and two hours of complimentary valet parking…JRDN is the perfect way to treat yourself and make any day or night feel like a special occasion.
This was a fantastic dinner. We lucked out. Just a block or two away from our VRBO, we booked dinner here to celebrate our last night of vacation. I would not necessarily call it kid friendly but it wasn’t NOT kid friendly (our 21 month old sat still relatively well). The outdoor seating was perfect and they did have high chairs available. The staff was amazing. We had this nachos, sushi and our son had a quesadilla and it was so delicious. The drinks were so fun also. We would highly recommend everything!
Dessert was great. Service was not great. They didn’t put down plates to share the appetizers nor serving utensils nor dessert spoons. At one point my friend got up and got spoons from the waiters station. Stars for the view and taste of food.
