Chic spot for Mexican food & cocktails. Stylish restaurant with a terrace serving modern Mexican cuisine, tacos & cocktails.
Loved our rooftop experience! Summer is the Perfect time to sit at the bar to enjoy yummy bites, Gorgeous drinks and a lively ambience. Service was great and the staff was super accommodating to get us seated in a spot that we asked for. We parked in a lot nearby and all in all it was a great evening out.
Dine LA is here again and this place knows what it means to represent for the food culture in the city. Their 4 course option for the celebration is a magnificent display of culinary ambition and traditional roots. I do encourage you to have on of the perfectly balanced cocktails. Be careful not to slurp it down too quickly though. The pours are heavy handed. Also, don't play yourself or whoever you're trying to impress by not booking ahead of time at this rooftop gem. You will struggle to get the parking attendants to let you park nearby without one (for truly your benefit).
Such a great place for lunch or dinner with a quintessential LA vibe! Tropical feel with lots of foliage, string lights, and great service. Food was excellent - we ordered the Mayan Octopus Tostada (wow), chicken and carne tacos, and the black bean appetizer. All great but the octopus was by far the best. Very busy and at times hard to get reservations but in a prime location in downtown LA (Arts District) and close to lots of other hip spots.
Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Value for money: 3 Food Taste: 4 Recommendation: I had the worst experience ever. I am top 10% reviewer on Google in US and this is by far the worst service ever. They don’t allow you to order appetizers and drinks first. You have to place the whole order in one go: Apps, entrees and sides. Never seen that before. On top of that they told us that because of COVId there is 2 hrs dining limit, I’m pretty sure every restaurant is dealing with COVId. No other fancy restaurant in US every told me this during COVID. In fact my colleague was here a couple of weeks back and she was with me this time and she mentioned they stayed for 3 hours and was never asked to leave in 2 hours. Decor is really nice, but the food quality was 4 out of 5. Overall really bad experience, not coming back.
Such a great spot for happy hour/dinner with colleagues/friends. My boss was excited to take us here and I can see why. Vegetarian options and having a great place for outdoor seating are huge plus. We get to enjoy the beautiful LA weather after all the taxes we paid. We made reservations for 5:15, we were promptly seated. This place was buzzing by 6 pm. Making reservations is highly encouraged. While the folks had beer, I had the Dragon Fruit and Guava aqua fresca. It's really worth the extra dollar. The boss had this strawberry milk cocktail which looks nothing like what I've imagined. Now the food looks appetizing and tasted fantastic. We ordered the Molette to share and although I am not a big fan of beans, I like it. We wished it was cut to smaller pieces. You may wonder, how does a $7 taco tasted like. It tasted how a $7 taco should taste like. The Japanese mushroom taco is delicious! The chorizo taco tasted great as well. You would have to watch out for the Pollo taco, it's apparently has a kick. My friend had the Tamal De Cebollin looks great, vegetarian option. I would recommend the rice pudding dessert. I don't remember the name but was my highlight of the meal. The almond mazapan is good too. The chocolate flan is ok. This place is definitely bring your friends to impress. The entrance is a little hidden so use Google maps and look up for their painted name.
LA Cha Cha Cha is a trendy restaurant in Arts District with roots from Mexico City. This rooftop restaurant has a beautiful environment and ambiance as the decor is classy and tropical. Ordered: 1. Terraza Tostada: 6/10 2. Chorizo Taco: 5/10 3. Steak Pa’taquear with handmade blue corn tortillas: 10/10 The tuna tostada was doused in sauce and didn’t taste really fresh so that was a bummer. The chorizo taco was also okay - especially for the price as I have tried many street tacos that were much better. The highlight of the meal was definitely the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and I loved the side dishes which included nopales (cactus) and an assortment of grilled tomatoes. The butter was mixed with beef fat which made it rich and flavorful and the freshly made blue corn tortillas were great. Overall, the food could’ve been a bit better but it was definitely worth the try.
upscale and delicious Mexican with a large rooftop patio. Romantic lighting, ample heat lamps, yummy food. Creative cocktails though a bit slow serving them at the table. Food came out quickly though we never felt rushed. Everything was homemade. Chips were light and fit the guac perfectly. The Rajas con Crema was definitely spicy and delicious. We also got the Pollo and carnitas. Both uniquely yummy. Don't underestimate them. Although, we could have used a bit more Brussels sprouts and potatoes as a sides for the Pollo. The desert was like a Mexican baklava, super flaky and very sweet.
My husband and I had a date night and decided to go have dinner here for the first time. This place did not disappoint. The patio view at night was stunning. We enjoyed a prickly pear and spicy pineapple margarita. We also ordered a cantarito and michelada that were excellent. For food, you can't go wrong with ordering the steak pa' taquear, dorados, and esquites.
