Traditional Spanish restaurant. Laid-back hangout below the Spanish Benevolent Society, serving traditional Spanish food & wine.
Highly recommend! The food is amazing and the service is great! The staff was very professionally despite the table next to us behaving very poorly. After clearly defined working hours, they wanted to get a desert and got an objective “No”. It has turned into a huge scandal, where a guest of a big group was offending the server. The group left without tipping the server, despite a great 2-3h stay at the restaurant. Absolutely inappropriate. Personally, I had an amazing time at the restaurant. Reasonably priced and amazing welcoming vibe! I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great Spanish food. I will definitely come back to experience great sangria and amazing tapas ❤️
Polite servers, the food is delicious. The quality of the food is pretty good. Sangria also tastes awesome. The price is also legit so 5 stars
A liiiitle bit disappointed since I had a high-expectation and I knew this place is old and well known. Overall the food was ok, 3.5 I guess, the flavors were great but didn’t reach the top. Everything can be improved except desserts. (4.5 for dessert so 4 eventually. Fair enough) I came here for paella. We had a small one with seafood. The portion was big but not a lot seafood on it. The rice was pretty soft compared to other places, and was warm but not hot. I prefer hard rice and some crunchy at the edge tho. The gambas al Ajillo (garlic shrimp with olive oil) was cool when served. The garlic was burnt and bitter. But the bread came with it was good. The only impressive dish for our meal was the Fideua Negra con Monkfish. The pasta was cooked perfectly. And the monkfish was delicious. ??Desserts were great. I might wanna go again just for them. The flan was really good and it reminded me Japanese pudding. Churros were good too, with the dip (hot chocolate mixing cold vanilla.)
What a great spot! The food was amazingly delicious, the cava sangria was amazing, and the general service and ambiance was very nice as well. It can be a little pricey all added up but so worth it! Great date spot.
Really loved this restaurant. Jany our server was so friendly and all her picks were excellent. Not overly salted like many restaurants. Maresco Paella was awesome Flan was super fresh Highly recommend
I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We got a dish of Tortillas de Patatas, an Arroz con secreto Iberico and a pulpo a la plancha. All three of them were super delicious, the Iberico was tender and was a perfect combination with Artichok and Arroz. The puplo a la plancha I can’t say enough about it, it was Michelin star quality. This place is now our favorite tapas spot, and we’re planning to come here on a regular basis.
Absolutely amazing dining experience - started with the exceptional service which continued seamlessly throughout the meal. The food - as authentic to Spain as I’ve had in the States! Delightful flavors, beautiful plating and fabulous drinks led to an amazing dinner out in NYC. Will be recommending to all I know! Conveniently located just off the L line
Absolutely love this place. I come here all the time, the staff is great and food comes quickly. I’ve suggested La Nacional to so many friends and they’ve LOVED it. Every dish here is great but my favorite have to be the patatas bravas and the croquetas.
