Romantic choice for Italian cuisine. Charming white-tablecloth Italian restaurant specializing in Venetian foods like risotto & calamari.
This restaurant has been here for a long time and it’s traditional Italian food or as close as I know it to be. Everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious and the service here was fantastic. Our server was very accommodating when we asked for a side of vegetables that was not on the menu, but they still made it perfectly for us and you can tell that it wasn’t a bunch of stuff thrown together, but that the chef actually out in effort to cook it properly. The complementary bread came with a pesto sauce, which is the first time that I’ve encountered that. But it was absolutely delicious, the sauce and the texture of the bread. They also brought out an off the menu cake for us when we had told them ahead of time that it was my birthday. I absolutely loved this restaurant and would definitely come back again. The ambience and decor is very nice too.
Excellent restaurant with amazing staff. High quality authentic Italian food that continues to excite my taste buds even tho I’ve been a regular for years. The lamb shank is to die for (May want to share) and the bread with their house dipping pesto sauce is unbelievably tasty. The pear tart is unbelievably light and delicious. Highly recommend whenever it’s available
I was here three years ago and gave this lovely restaurant five stars. Today I was in the neighborhood and decided to try it again and we were a party of ten people and I was not disappointed. The food is very delicious and the service is excellent, I will definitely come back again. I came back today
If you're serious about food and not about being trendy, a classic spot like LV will be perfect! Service was very good, and the food was full of flavor and freshness. The grilled squid with sautéed greens, olive oil and lemon was so good! I had the truffle ravioli which was in the night's special menu and my hubby had the classic carbonara. Looking around I just felt I was in a traditional locanda in Italy. No gimmicks, just serious Italian food. Romance was definitely in the air!
Home made style linguini. Calamari and burrata cheese for appetizers
I could imagine myself at a small animated restaurant in Italy where locals gather and guffaw til late afternoon, and find such hearty and cheery meals. In reality, thanks for the reassuring and confident recommendation of our host, we settled on the following without too much difficulty: The burrata was suffused with the pleasant diary aroma/sweetness, and the ultra-thin carpaccio nevertheless relayed the tenderness and flavor of beef perfectly. Also really liked the fresh arugula, which showed no trace of the usual bitterness. Our expectation for the entrees was certainly elevated after these appetizers - and we were not a bit disappointed! More than its fantastic coloration, the ravioli brought you with the sea - the concentrated umami from lobster and squid hoisted waves in your mouth. What about the lamb shank - as my companion accurately remarked, you didn’t need the knife (which was quite sharp) in order to enjoy it - tender, juicy, and very masterfully seasoned. As for the dessert, next time!
Was a great fresh lunch ? old style small romantic restaurant with lots of charm lunch for one or dinner for 2. Long vine list, prices are fair for the area. I will be coming back here for sure!!! Well it’s 2021 and finally made my 2nd round. I wanted to sit indoors today, I felt like I was back in Manhattan rich old school colors and furniture. I can hear the chef speaking Italian instant heart flutter. I was in the mood for a great piece of fish and dam the menu had it, perfect food service, it was amazing treated like a BOSS QUEEN complimentary white wine for me. Can’t wait to come back for a steak.
From the hospitality to the amazing traditional Italian food, this place is one of my favorites. The place feels like you’re in Italy. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic Italian cuisine experience
