Plant-based deli inside a storied market. Family-owned deli counter in a historic market for vegan & gluten-free sandwiches, soups & pastries.
Highly recommend. We had Italian hoagies, a brownie and coffee cake, and got deli items to take home (so happy to be able to do that again!) and everything was great! Staff was also very kind/friendly, and the hours of operation are optimal. Very excited to have a vegan deli within drivable distance, and in Reading Terminal Market at that!
Absolutely amazing! A discovery in Philly i wouldn't even dream of! Captivating menu and delicious food. Girls today were so nice and kind! Had tuna salad and caprese sandwiches, i could only eat half of each, so filling, so I have now also a dinner leftover! A real deli with all options, 100%. Absolutely recommended!
I cannot praise the caprese enough. It is sandwich perfection. I also got the pasta salad and it was good, like a pasta version of a 3-bean salad, but in the future I will probably just order the caprese because nothing else is necessary. The potato chips were also quite nice.
Been DYING to try this place and finally did. SO happy I did! I live in South Jersey and picked my daughter up from the Philly Airport. We made a day of being a tourist since we never really come to Philly. First off, I had NO idea this was inside Reading Terminal Market. This place made my jaw drop. It's like a city in there! Once I finally found the Luhv Deli I was so happy. An ALL VEGAN ?deli in the middle of all of the non vegan establishments showing them how ?? It's ?? Done ??! I got the Rueben and the Italian to go. We all sat and ate our food. I ate the Italian and inhale it. It was SO yummy!!! So yummy I went back and ordered 2 more to take home. Later on that evening once home I tried half of the Reuben. Very yummy but didn't hold up that well hours later ? but I'm still gonna eat it! This place is ALL VEGAN folks and wonderful ???????
The Reuben is “Philly’s best”! Not sure how steep the competition is but this was a really good sandwich. The prices are reasonable for vegan ingredients. I want to come back and try everything on the menu!
Okay they weren't kidding the lox sandwich was indeed the best vegan sandwich I've ever had. The lox is beets. Not lox texture or fish taste(obvs) but smoky and really delicious as itself. Service was a bit slow considering it's a deli and they are making a sandwich, but the person is friendly and chatty and it was really busy in Reading Terminal the day before the Superbowl so I didn't mind waiting.
It was alright. The food was filling but not as flavorful as it could have been. Good service though and I could tell it was being prepared fresh. If you go, I don't recommend the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich (pictured) - try something different.
I got the caprese sandwich and my husband got the Italian, both were delicious!!! My husband missed Italian sandwiches the most since we became vegetarian so this was an amazing find while in town a few days for a conference. We can't wait to come back tomorrow to try everything else!! And the staff person who made our sandwiches was super friendly! Highly recommend!
