Traditional small plates & a full bar. This modern, family-owned eatery & bar is known for serving tapas-style Puerto Rican cuisine.
The food was delicious. We came during happy hour and the place was pack. We were seated right away. Our server was very friendly. I would have given this place a 5 star if it wasn’t for the service time. We waited at least 30 minutes for our appetizer and that’s because we called our server to see how much longer. Server disappeared for a while. I told my wife that he probably went ahead and cooked our appetizer and laughed about it. Just like I predicted he walked out of the kitchen carrying our appetizer. Total time for our main course came out about 20 minutes later after getting our appetizer. We been here before and have never experienced a long wait like this. I don’t take pleasure giving this place a 3 star today but I can’t ignore the fact that service took so long. Not our server’s fault. We still gave him a 20% tip. We will be back.
The food - every bite was heavenly and mouthwatering, the service - long wait but worth it (make a reservation in advance), the atmosphere - it was very loud so those with more sensitive hearing will have issues. Not a place for kids under 10. Beautiful decorating, layouts a bit crowded and there's no booths so don't expect a ton of privacy; however the volume of music makes up for the lack of space, the only people you'll hear are those that are at your table. This is absolutely a gem of a restaurant and I'll be bringing dates here in the future.
Good atmosphere. The waitress very nice and helpful. Food is fair every thing is the same flavor not even simple salt and peper. Sweet ice tea is only water and sugar the worst. Presentation is excellent. I will try once again . Good luck.
Quite the experience and the food was delicious. It is a Puerto Rican place and none of their food has Chile. Zero spice. However their fried chicken is to die for. The plantain dessert super good. Their mango Margarita was just right. Happy birthday presentation for my son in law was so nice way different than your usual birthday experience. It is very pricey but so worth it. It is not menu kid friendly and reservations is probably your best bet because it's always very busy with large families. $$$
Good customer service. alittle slow on drink refills but othercthan that, friendly. First time here, so ourxfamilyctried several things: nachos, fried pork, steak, and sweet plantains. Favorites: nachos, which were made with plsntain chips and the sweet plantains.
Amazing food and service! The shrimp mofongo with garlic butter sauce....Wow! The wings and tostones appetizer is very good and a value. Will be back!
Love the fact that all the great things we had heard about the place was true. Very clean, staff was attentive and helpful. Food and drinks were on point. Everytime someone's food came out around us, we joked about how we should just stay all day and drink and eat because everything looked so good.
I got the pork and my mom got the ropa vieja with plantains (sooo good and sweet) and arroz con gandules. It was definitely worth the wait and my family's first time eating Puerto Rican. A little salt was needed for my pork. They also offer different flavors of Puerto Rican soda! Will be coming back to try some more.
