Mama Lus - A Modern Day Taco Shop

A really hip, fun modern take on tacos! Our favorite part of our meal was the mango margarita, which honestly might have been the best margarita I’ve ever had before! Also really enjoyed the yummy appetizers including street corn, and the Spanish rice. Tacos were good but more standard in my opinion. Regardless definitely worth checking this place out!

The tacos are pretty good - try the pescado! The guac is great and they have some great salsa made in house. We enjoyed eating here. Giving it four stars because the menu was pretty limited and the seating felt a little crammed. Overall, it's an awesome little spot.

The tacos are fantastic. The chips are very good. The drinks are good if you like 'em sweet, but aren't terribly strong. But seriously, these tacos. I had the roasted pork taco and it was perfectly prepared with just enough heat. My fiancèe's potato taco was equally delicious, with a nice smokiness. My mango margaritas was delicious, but I didn't taste the tequila. Same for my fiancèe's cucumber jalapeño one. But seriously, try these tacos.

Very good food! Came here after checking reddit for food reccs and it did not disappoint! We got mango margaritas - amazing! It's a must drink! Had some street corn and it tasted so heavenly with the cotija cheese and the lime mayo. For the tacos, we tried the carne, lechon asado, pescado and camaron, they were all absolutely delicious. My fav was the pescado, the fish was so good! Finished our meal with Churros and the Mexican chocolate sauce really hits the spot! Love it here, definitely recommending it for anyone visiting Traverse City!

Honestly some of the best Taco's we have ever had! This restaurant is small but has a really chill vibe and offers outdoor seating, waiter was super nice and told us the specials. We luckily made it on Taco Tuesday, our Tacos on Special were $2 each…well worth the price. I would've paid $5 per Taco they were so good. Very fresh ingredients and the flavors of spicy, sweet, tangy all mixed perfectly on the pallet! 5 Stars all the way

4 starts cause the churros and flavor combinations of the tacos were great but the tortillas need to be cooked properly. They tasted like the cold store bought corn tortillas you get at the store. I also didn't like how my server was just wearing a long t-shirt. It felt like yall just hired a random college kid right before I got there.

Good tacos , being from Texas I’m fairly particular. The presentation and service were good. Music was a little loud , even though we dined outside. The carnitas was our favorite taco but the others were good.

Tourist in Traverse City, asked local where to eat and here we are! Honestly best taco ever. Chicken and shrimp tacos were quite tasty…modern version suited our party of four in a delightful way! Would definitely come back!
