American-Italian eats & happy hour. Upbeat eatery serving American & Italian dishes with happy hour.
The appetizers and entrees were all excellent!!! Had the lamb, a few pasta dishes and gnocchi. Everything was wonderful. The hostess was very accommodating. We changed from indoors to outdoors and they were quick to prepare a new table for us. Just incredible food!
Absolutely outstanding from the service to the food. My waitress Auri was one of the best and most personable I've ever had in my travels throughout the world. The food was perfect. Delivered timely so that one dish flowed into the other. Excellent wine selection also. This is a must go to if you are in Phoenix. One caveat, fast for the day because the portions are very generous and you don't want to miss a bite.
I went as soon as they opened and it was nice and quiet. The bread was delicious. I came specifically for the clam linguini and I did not regret it. It was amazing! I would eat it again in a heart beat. I recommended the dish to a colleague and they went the following night and also said it was amazing. The service was prompt and attentive. I would definitely put this on my list when I visit Phoenix for work.
Lovely dinner! The oysters and ?were great! Nice beet salad. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. The lasagna was good... but my hubby's is better. The bread & tiramisu were so-so. Wonderful date night! Great service. (It's a little too warm in there and the steak knife needed to be sharpened.)
We wanted to love this place, but it was just ok... especially for the price point. Seven of us and none liked our drinks. A couple of dishes were mixed up. But generally the food was tasty, especially the bread, bruschetta, crab stack, lasagna, lamb chops (although small and the mashed potatoes were not hot), creme brulee cheescake, and limoncello cake. The worst part is that we mentioned these issues to our server, who was nice, but had no interest in making anything better. Two servers were the only staff in the whole place wearing masks. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but would pick somewhere else if back in town again...
Steak Marsala was excellent. Gorgenzola Mashed Potatoes were delicious. Service was wonderful and fast. The only thing I didn't like was the Italian sausage in the lasagna, but that is just preference. 10/10 would go back. Oh! 1 negative thing, there's no parking anywhere.
This is a very nice restaurant with delicious food! I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was divine! I really enjoyed it. My husband had the Lobster Fra Diavolo and he enjoyed it very much! The place was clean and both bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. We were going to a show at The Footprint center and so the restaurant was very busy. We did make reservations, but I would recommend always making reservations since they are so close to that arena. If you’re looking for a lovely evening at a nice restaurant, I highly recommend Mancuso’s.
This was my first meal in Phoenix and it was VERY disappointing. The staff when I entered were not super friendly and quickly ushered me to the bar area. I thought that was odd as the restaurant wasn’t busy. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and I’ve had better calamari from Red Lobster. It was super chewy and not quality at all! For happy hour it was $11 and I can’t imagine paying the $16 regular price! I ordered the Fresh Salmon as my entree and it was flavorless. The dill sauce was so bland and the broccolini was hard. It came with very little linguini as well and for $31 again this entree was not worth that! I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for Italian. Prices were high and not great quality!
