Late-night option for casual Indian eats. Indian street food, including kati rolls, offered in a sleek, snug storefront with late-night hours.
This is a must try if you like indian food or like to try new things. The food is amazing and you need to try the homemade drinks, they are to die for. It also has a great vibe, small but cozy. I loved the self service kiosk, I wish more restaurants implement this. Prices are incredible, and I was surprised to see all dishes under $15 with all the inflation in the past few years. Highly recommend it!
After walking around all day, I decided to stop here and it was such a good decision. It lifted my spirits because it was so good. I got the lamb and chicken combination platter and the mango lassi. It's reminiscent of Halal Guys if you've never had it before. If you haven't tried either, then you should.
Their Vegetable biriyani was very poor. Too much use of turmeric powers made the taste bitter! Too much use of red chilli powder. May be I didn’t choose their right dish but I doubt their cooking standard is not matured. Please consider changing cook or chef to deserve higher ratings. Tried their masala chicken kati roti as well. It wasn’t that bad - just average. Quantity of their food is slightly below average, so not a great value of money too. Enough space for dine-in, menu prices are somehow cheaper than nearby other alternatives. Hospitality and behavior of the lady who took my order was very pleasant. Thank you A.D.
Masala Kitchen is a take-out spot with tables on Walnut Street in Philadelphia. If you're driving, there is nowhere to park except in lots and the occasional free parking spot. However, if you're walking already and you love Indian Food, try Masala Kitchen. The food is spicy and good. It's accessible and delicious.
Ordered their food online! Great rolls that stayed crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with the delivery. Their sauces are amazing especially their chutney. We got their beef tikka and a paneer Kati roll, would recommend both. Personally didn't like their blackberry juice since it reminded me of bubblegum but that's just personal preference. Liked the variety of their drink options in general though!
This place is awesome. We’ve been eating here since years before they did move to new place and now. The food is always so tasty here. We order chicken & lamb plater with extra tasty extra white sauce here when we visit Philly also wraps are so good. Service is fast and friendly. Thank You Masala
Don't go here thinking you're going to get a Chicken over Rice platter like the Halal trucks, this type food is from a different region. Nonetheless, food was decent...I got a Lamb Kebab and MK Special Chicken. I don't recommend the lamb, it's processed and formed into a ball or something, but I still enjoyed because I ate it with my main meal. The platter I good was good. The hot sauce ain't no joke but balance it out with the white sauce and you straight.
Excellent food options. Their Platters are similar to Halal guys however one level up with the Indian spicy flavors. The Kati rolls are amazing - both Paneer & Chicken. Tried their Orange Coconut Lassi which is a unusual combination but was great in taste. Staff is super nice. You order your food through couple kiosks and it takes them roughly 5-8mins to make it ready. Their restroom was maintained clean. As the place is in downtown, parking is an issue however you could street park or park in a parking structure close by.
