Dim sum specialist. Bustling Chinese dim sum restaurant where carts provide a wide range of sometimes-adventurous items.
I went there with my philly family and we really enjoyed it. Dim sum is a lunch thing that ends at 3pm so we ordered off the full menu. The fried rice and chow Meir were spot on. The dumplings were all solid and unique. Great shrimp dumplings. Fresh, delicate and really packed with flavor. The kids loved the wonton soup (and everything else) the adults grooved on the flounder fried with leeks, ginger, garlic, and chinese broccoli. Well worth the easy going check. Sure the decor is dated circa 1985 but the service is solid. Real good.
Excellent dim sum service with plenty of options and fast service. We tried many dishes including different beef, shrimp, and veggie plates. We only had to wait a few minutes before being seated and we were able to feed a table of four for about $80.
5 stars for their Shu Mai, which is what I primarily come for, it has always been amazing, they are larger than other places, consistent with balanced flavors bursting with pork/mushroom/shrimpy goodness. Everything else is pretty good and as expected of any decent dim sum restaurant.
Decent traditional dim sum in Chinatown of Philadelphia. They have most of the staple dim sum dishes like rice rolls, turnip cake, shumai, har gow, and dumplings. Quality is pretty decent compared to other places in philly. The procedure of their traditional dimsum is you are seated and then the staff comes around with a few dishes in their cart and you select what you want. Pricing is more expensive than what I am used to. For two people, we had about 7 dimsum dishes and the total was about $66 including tip. The restaurant could use some more staffing but overall food is good.
No reservations so have to wait until our table is ready( we were 8 ) but Very convenient after have a seat. Always Dimsum or some meal cart coming around tables often so take them and kids or adults can start to eat right away. No need to wait. My friends recommend this Dimsum restaurant. We liked and will back. If you share with some peoplemany kind of food you can try to eat.
We've been coming here for over 15 years. This is the first time we've been back since covid. The place looks empty. There was only 2 other tables besides ours. The food was good like always....but the service was lacking. We had to flag the waiter down a few times for our water to be refilled. Once we paid the bill... the waiter demanded us to leave a 20% tip for our lunch. We had left 15% due to the service. The waiter refused to let us leave until we gave more money. I don't think I'll be coming back any time soon.
Popular Chinatown dim sum.. family and friends meat up for meal together . Average about $20. Per person, kitchen rolls out the better choices after all the traditional items been circulate. Recommend highly.
They do dim sum with the carts and everything during peak hours and during nonpeak hours they fit large groups really well. The food is great and comes fast. They even use the space for community organizing from time to time! You are supporting good people when you come here.
