Excellent! Finally made myself book a table downstairs right after they received their Michelin star. Loved the vibe - as everyone says, not pretentious at all, very welcoming, intimate. Every dish we got was stellar. Great cocktails. Really just a perfect date night destination, casual or for a special occasion. Looking forward to coming back with each season!
My partner and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a special 9-course meal and wine pairing at One White Street. The food was absolutely fantastic - every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The wine pairing was also top-notch and perfectly complemented each course. However, we were a bit disappointed that we didn't receive any special recognition for our anniversary, especially since we chose One White Street specifically for this special occasion. As a Michelin-rated restaurant, we were expecting a bit more in terms of personalized service. Nevertheless, we still had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend One White Street for anyone looking for a fine dining experience with exceptional food and wine
This restaurant is one of a kind. Service is Michelin level but not pretentious. Food is thoughtful, technically sound and delicious. My favorite is the fennel salad on the a la carte menu. Pastry program is excellent. Wine list is superb. We enjoyed some champagne the entire meal because it was too good to stop drinking. Can’t wait to return!
The downstairs has individual menus and upstairs has tasting menu. We went for the tasting menu and the atmosphere , service and food was great. We got to choose between two options for each courses and they were all delicious and refreshing especially smoked tomato. The only thing about the tasting menu was I wish I had more choice for the main meal. I was given a choice between chicken and ratatouille but I would choose neither and the downstairs menu looked more appealing and interesting to me. I would definitely go back to the downstairs and try individual dishes.
Amazing ambiance and staff. A special shout out to our server Kevin and the sommelier Alicia. The staff was attentive and personable through out the entire restaurant. The food was amazing with the two opening courses really stealing the show. The cocktails were crafted to perfection as well. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning.
I had eaten a salad and dessert by myself a month ago, but did the tasting menu with my wife last week. It was during a hot humid stretch and the AC was not working on the 2nd floor where the main kitchen is. The manager came over without us asking after the first course and proposed the 3rd floor with functioning AC. That was much appreciated. Start to finish, the dishes were all very beautiful and utilized fresh ingredients. In general, many dishes had very salty additions like bacon, roasted shallots or puffed sorghum. It took away from the simplicity of those dishes. Further, many dishes had a very smoky flavor that was repetitive. I actually expected more, but will be back. The yellow gazpacho and roasted cherry tomatoes exploding in my mouth were the meal highlight. My strawberry rhubarb drink was perfect, not too sweet and very refreshing. For the money, I would give it 6.5 of 10 stars and hope a bad night from the heat and no AC for the poor chefs on the 2nd floor. I liked the windows looking onto W. Broadway and the seats were very comfy.
We came in for the tasting menu and immediately fell in love with the aesthetic of the place. Everything from the dining room to the food was really pretty. Just simple fresh ingredients made really well. Staff was also superrrr friendly. Highly recommend in you're in NYC!!
I went here for my birthday last summer with a few friends and we got the vegetarian tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was delicious and the wine was excellent. My favorite dish was the smoked carrots. Unlike many other tasting menu’s I’ve had, I did not feel stuffed at the end of the meal, which was great! The restaurant itself was nice and cozy, there were only a few tables in the top floor where we were seated.
