Italian restaurant, pizzeria & bar. Classic Italian dining in archway-enhanced environs with adjacent pizzeria offering thin-crust pies.
Osteria Via Stato was the perfect place for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The service was fantastic. They greeter our 45 guests with wine and offered additional beverages from the bar. The food was served family style and absolutely delicious. Everyone had plenty and we received many compliments from the guests. Allison & Natalie were fantastic to work with and attended to all the requested details as well as ones we did not anticipate like coat racks in the room since the weather turned dramatically colder that day. Thank you for making our event so special!
Osteria Via Stato is the perfect spot to host a wedding! It's a beautiful venue location and five-star caterer rolled into one, and they include so many amenities/accommodations with their wedding package. It made wedding planning much simpler. The Wedding Coordinator was the best part. She was so incredibly patient, kind, and helpful. We have zero complaints and our wedding guests had a million compliments. Everything was perfect!
My friend recommended this place when I asked her for a pasta restaurant. She had her wedding here so loves everything. We ordered the Rigatoni, angel hair aglio e olio, warm ciabatta & roasted garlic and charred pepperoni pizza. Everything was DELICIOUS! I had a picky eater and a “not so easily impressed” person with me and they LOVED every dish. I would totally come back. They also have a nice happy hour special- half off all pizzas and select wines. It’s only for an hour though so check the time on their website. The only thing that was annoying was that we sat outside and it was so loud. The sirens, the motorcycles, etc. but I guess that’s part of city living.
My wife and I LOVED this place. The rigatoni and mozzarella pizza were delicious. We sat outside to enjoy the summertime Chi ambiance, and our hostess was wonderful too. We will definitely eat here again.
I started looking for a venue to host my wedding around November 2020 with the plan of having it in March 2022, and after quite a few weeks of nosing around (and feeling very hesitant about rough catering reviews from various establishments), I found Osteria - a beautiful restaurant with glowing feedback and gorgeous photos. It looked like a rustic dream, and the pictures from other brides only further helped my choice. Suffice to say, the wedding was this past Saturday, and I had the best day of my life here. Allison, the event manager, was a dream to work with and DEEPLY patient with my ten thousand questions surrounding timing, vendor inquiries and recommendations, and stress-induced what-ifs. All the way leading up to the event she was gracious and kind, and on the actual day of, she was nothing short of perfect. Everything went smoothly, the venue was beautifully decorated, and my guests WILL NOT STOP talking about how phenomenal the food was. Not a single wine glass dropped below halfway (I have no idea how many I consumed due to this incredible service) and every need was catered to with speed and efficiency. I recommend Osteria for any event, party, or even just a dinner out in town, because they are THAT good. I'll never forget this place, and even though we've since moved out of state, you bet we'll keep coming back in the future. What an unforgettable experience!
Just flew in from Florida to celebrate getting married. This restaurant was recommended by a coworker. The service and food was great! The seafood linguine was very tasty and had a nice kick to it. I definitely recommend it.
I reserved a private room called “The chef’s table” for 20 people and from the very beginning of planning (2 months before) to the very end, the event managers were wonderful to work with. Everything is so organized and detailed. I met the chef while I was decorating in the morning and he was extremely helpful as well! When it came time for dinner we were blown away! I loved the setup… I ordered passed appetizers before dinner and it was such a nice touch and added an element of elegance. I also ordered a champagne toast which I highly recommend. I ordered the highest “level” Of dinner option because it gives you the choice of filet mignon and everyone raved about the filet so this is definitely a must! I’ve never been to a restaurant where every single meal was outstanding… everything was so delicious! I can’t stop thinking about the pasta! I ordered the salmon and it was also so good. Our server Wallen was great, he made our experience even better! I highly recommend this restaurant for a private event and I can’t wait to come back for dinner!
Great Chicago Restaurant dining experience. The caesar salad and meatball starters were excellent. The rigatoni with short rib entree is amazing and a must try! I enjoyed their espresso martini.
