Sophisticated Southern cuisine. River Oaks institution serving Southern standards such as shrimp & grits to a loyal crowd.
Went with the family on a Sunday. Parking was easy to find, place wasn’t too busy and was very clean. Staff was extremely polite and professional. The brunch menu offered your standard choices with a few unique dishes to try. Our table was mixed on the food. Half felt the food was good but could have more flavor and half felt the food was absolutely great. Prices were fair for the serving sizes and great atmosphere, definitely recommend trying it out if you’re looking for a new brunch spot to try out.
Such a delightful place to celebrate life and birthday with my mom. We enjoyed Crab Cakes, Chicken Parmigiana and Short Ribs Tacos. Tristan was more than polite carrying on conversation as if we were family. The decor in every room breathtaking! Even the valet attendants insisted a picture in remembrance of our unforgettable experience at Ousies. Forever grateful.?
I was treated to lunch on a weekday at this wonderful restaurant. It wasn't too crowded and the waiter was attentive but unobtrusive. I had a delicious mojito, mini muffins, broccoli soup, a crab cake, and scallops. The three small complimentary muffins were very good, the broccoli soup had a good flavor but was a little on the thin side, the crab cake was good but otherwise unremarkable and the scallops were excellent. The scallops were served with mashed sweet potatoes and crisp green beans, both of which were very good. I was too full for dessert. My companion had tacos which he said were very good. Our table was near the door to the patio and every time the door opened I got chilled. I don't know why they would seat us near the door when the restaurant was not very busy, plus we had reservations. The tables had crisp white linens but the hard wood chairs did not encourage lingering. This restaurant was about an hour from my house and while it was a mostly enjoyable experience, I don't think I will fight the traffic to visit again.
Absolutely lovely experience. Staff were all extraordinarily kind, the food was delicious, and service was top-notch. This place was clean, very well taken care of and maintained. It is a place that I hope to return to again someday. Parking was pretty good with seemingly plenty of space in valet as an option. The building is behind a couple other buildings which minimizes city street noise. I would highly recommend this establishment to anybody.
We just had a party here this past weekend and it did not disappoint! The party was in the Alsey's Nest room. This room sat my party of 22 comfortably and there is a little outdoor area you can mingle or like us take photos. Restaurant was super accommodating seeing how I booked less than 7 days before the party. I was able to bring in my own decor. Food was delicious. Everyone said they enjoyed their meal. The real winner here was the servers, Jessie and Kerri. They were TOP NOTCH!! From the moment we arrived they were beyond helpful and even offered us drinks right away. They helped us setup decor on the table and honestly anything and everything. They were also so polite to me and everyone in my party. My only little complaint is paying for tables. I just feel unless you are doing round table (out of the ordinary) there is no reason we should get charged for tables and linens when they are easily provided in the regular dining area. Now if you want something different than the standard I can see the upcharge. But it also isn't a deal breaker when everything else went right. Will definitely be back!
My food was very good. The place was beautiful inside. I love their clean up process. The servers were great. Soft bread. The prices are to treat yourself and your date but not going broke doing it. All while eating very well. I liked the meatball app. The greens were bussin. And I honestly want... No NEED to go back so that I can try their lamb chops. Lovely place! We made an 11am reservation the morning of and was seated immediately. Upon first glance, it looks rather insignificant but inside it has really tall ceilings and nice decor. It was pretty empty when it first opened but the changed about 30 minutes after we arrived. Boy did this place fill up for a Thursday afternoon!!! We got mimosas which were standard along with the complimentary breads. They were so good! I could eat a whole basket of that alone. We ordered oysters Rockefeller which were great flavor wise, but could have been cleaned better(crunchy tasting at times) and cooked a while longer so the topping could have better color. It was rather pale looking. Our entrees were fantastic. I got a Parmesan crusted fish and my friend the shrimp and grits. Both were generous portions. My one qualm is the service. Our server was great but those cleaning the table were moving fast. They took our bread before we were finished and reached over our food to either give us more bread or pour water multiple times. Other than that, everything was great. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area.
If I could give Ouisie’s 10 stars - I would. We’re at my birthday dinner right now and their service is amazing. Mr. Edoardo is the best along with his management team, server staff and front of house staff. As someone who work in the hospitality industry from age 14 to 23, now 26 today, I am amazed at their phenomenal guest service. Thank y’all!
