Pepes Barbacoa

OK I’ve been meaning to try this place it’s kind of hidden it’s on Pressa and hallway but anyway I tried it out it was pretty damn good it’s a come it’s like a mix of fat and all meat but there’s no grease to it but it has a good taste it’s a very good blend Lady said they’ve been here 45 years so I’m guessing they’re doing something right I need to try it keep it local I recommend it come check it out

This is the best spot for delicious all meat barbacoa!!! Consistent, excellent quality. Delicious salsa, the best hand picked avocados ?! You don't find places like this anymore and if you didn't hear from word of mouth you might never find it. You must try you will keep coming back ?

Not all barbacoa is the same, because Pepe’s is the best. It is not too greasy and is full of flavor. Tortillas are good. Great customer service. Definitely my new spot on Sunday mornings.

Ohhhhhh the food SMACKS ✋ for my fellow tourists and native San Antonians - if you’re looking for barbacoa tacos you can stop looking, you found your spot ? the flavor and quality of their meat is very authentic Cash only! We had to scramble and thank god we found a loose $10 My favorite thing about our visit is the family that owns this establishment is so humble and they have top tier customer service. You’ll walk in to walls lined with their family photos and memories all around I highly recommend. We will be back next time we are in town ❤️

Best barbacoa I've ever had! However, the corn tortillas(flimsy and microwaved), bland sauces, lack of cilantro/onion/lime, and inability to take debit cards keep me from coming more often. But the barbacoa and people are still worth a 5 star review!

We live down the street and can literally walk down to get our barbacoa fix. Been coming for about 3 years now and this is the best I’ve had in San Antonio this far! Great flavor, texture, and not super greasy either! Check them out if you’re tired of overpaying for super greasy/bland barbacoa!

Such a wonderful authentic puro San Antonio barbacoa restaurant. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The barbacoa was so delicious and not overly great. Must try! And the tamales are off the chain. I highly recommend this as a South Presa stop.

Excellent barbacoa, when you order all meat believe me it is???? We were new customers today because it was highly recommended, drove 21 miles, and it was worth it……THE BEST!!
