Global street food in a stylish setting. Chic stop for global street food & cocktails in an architectural setting with dining room & lounge.
Sat at the bar, great service and recommendations from the bar staff. There to celebrate a friends new job, got talking and didn’t take good food photos of the octopus and mussels small plates. Bartender overheard and surprised my friend with a dessert to celebrate! Interesting beer list featuring local brews. Accessible rest-areas.
The service was excellent with excellent suggestions and recommendations by the server. One of our guests had a fish allergy and the server checked on each individual dish to let us know which one she could or could not eat. We were quite impressed when the individual servers, and there are three different ones, brought out the dishes and explainwd to us which ones she could and could not eat. The communication among staff was excellent. The food was very tasty and we definitely would give this 5 ++ stars.
I’ve been here three times, once for restaurant week. They have a tapas style menu that encompasses several different types of cuisine. If you’re looking for a fun experience and great vibe, this place is good for that. Some dishes are great and some are disappointing and lack depth of flavor. For example, if you want to make “middle eastern style” carrots, simply dumping harissa on them and putting them on yogurt doesn’t exactly make them delicious. Everything is reasonably priced!
Proxi definitely has a diverse menu when it comes to cuisine influence. I enjoyed seeing the variety they brought to the table. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for some small bites and drinks.
Chef's menu was quite a lot of food and of great variety. Our favorites were the poached king salmon salad, Vietnamese coffee opera cake, and the mango kulfi. Drinks were also great and the service was phenomenal.
Fantastic meal top to bottom - the chefs menu is a GREAT value at $65 pp. Service was also lovely, and I highly recommend sitting at the counter - very pleasant surprise to get that when we only made a reservation about 2 hours in advance
Upscale street food flavors, textures, ambiance and service. Tempura Elotes, Bahn Knot: Crispy Vietnamese Crêpe - Shrimp, pork belly, chili jam, tater tots and crab noodles.
We really, really enjoyed our meal for restaurant week here. Highlights were: the shrimp toast, the pork tenderloin with peanut mole, and the Sichuan lamb dumplings. Some dishes, like the tofu and the hot pot, had great textures (the tofu was like a hot savory donut!) but lacked a bit of flavor. The best thing was that everything came out piping hot. I've noticed recently a lot of restaurants (even ones like Next) struggle to keep the food hot on the way to the table. Everything here was a great temperature. Got a great mocktail with black currant as well. Wish I had taken more pictures! The staff and ambiance were wonderful.
