Chic space for New American cuisine. Innovative New American dishes are paired with creative cocktails & a snazzy, historic setting.
I assume that I choose this restaurant to celebrate my bday not for the food but for their interior design. However, I was surprised in a very good way ! The food tastes so good, like an explosion of flavors very balanced. Hands down as one of the best restaurants in LA. It is pricey for my pockets but worth it. The interior is also amazing! Everything very thought out with different sitting and atmosphere. The only things I would say is that I was expecting more details for the lighting design. But, overall, beautiful!!!
This is an absolute dining experience with an amazing ambiance and delicious food. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Flawless service and certainly a place to enjoy a date night out our simply indulge in taking it all in. The location is in the heart of downtown Los Angeles and this is also a perfect place for special events and company functions to celebrate any festivities or achievements. I highly recommend this place. Don't miss this while you are in LA!
An excellent New American meal in an excellent downtown L.A. venue. Very creative fare served in a building with a lot of history. The dishes were inventive and delicious. And at the very least interesting. Redbird is really defining what New American cuisine is and can be. All served in a redone rectory which served as a home for a cardinal. Where the name Redbird comes from. The interior had a real upscale atmosphere but still felt welcoming and cozy. All in all I had a great L.A. food experience. This is a foodies dream restaurant and a must visit when your in Los Angeles. Dos thumbs up ??
The food is quite creative and tasted good for the most part. I've never had pasta with grapes before or a pumpkin creme brulee for example... But it almost all works. The decor and service was very nice too.
Just celebrated a birthday at Redbird! It was quite wonderful… The food was exquisite that went wonderfully with the excellent customer service experience. The setting was at the old and spirited Vibiana 1876 DLA. Chef Frazer stopped by and it was nice to chat with him. We use to patron his former restaurant Grace. I would love to return and take a tour of the building. When not busy. They will give a tour.
Food was very good. Sea Bass was solid, although it was cooked a little harder than I would have assumed it would be. The sides were great, Brussel sprouts and the avocado salad were very good. Did not enjoy the Parker Rolls, thought the seeds on the bread did not complement the date butter. The service was so-so. I will admit, my party was larger than normal - 9 of us, which can be challenging. Waiter was not worth the 20% tip. He was not attentive and when 3 drinks that were purchased from the bar were added to the table bill, he was less than concerned or helpful. I would go back, but with a smaller party.
The food, service, atmosphere, everything about this place is amazing. The server was so awesome (i dont remember her name) food is delicious! I wish I could buy those mini cheese bread for home! Highly recommend!
One of the best meals I've had this year. The parker rolls were some of the best bread and butter I've ever eaten. Thoughtful, modern and delicious across all the courses. Fantastic
