Roma Mia

This place is amazing and the food is just spectacular. Best Italian food I had outside of Italy. Had the shrimp in cognac sauce and it was delicious. I had the best white wine ever there. The owner, Sergio recommended Cantina Puiatti and he clearly knows his stuff. Really enjoyed the sorbetto and the creme brûlée. . You can't go wrong with this place for date night. The owner was super welcoming and the service excellent. Highly recommend.

Amazing food, Great for parties; Blessed to have an authentic Italian restaurant like Roma Mia, near my place in gaslamp San Diego. Located on 4th Ave and F st. right next to magic store and the Laugh Factory, this beautiful restaurant is the perfect start to a great night out in downtown San Diego. Roma Mia also offers a large open ViP area upstairs, the ideal setting for hosting private parties.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Italian restaurant and I have to say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations. We started off with some delicious cocktails in which their smoky old fashion was simply outstanding. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the smoky undertones added an extra depth of flavor that was truly unique. We also tried their lamb chops, and I have to say, they were hands down some of the best I've ever had. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The accompanying sides were also excellent and complemented the dish perfectly. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional Italian cuisine with some fantastic cocktails to match. The lamb chops and smoky old fashions were standouts, but I have no doubt that everything on the menu is equally as impressive. The service was top notch, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was simply outstanding. Don't hesitate to make a reservation and see for yourself!

An amazing accidental find! The owner saw my wife and I looking at the outdoor menu and offered to open up early so we could have an early dinner - thank you so much for that consideration. From the time we walked in the door the staff made us feel at home and welcomed us with smiles. The food was truly amazing - we had spinach ravioli with chicken and filet minion with mushroom sauce. We left very satisfied with a desire to come back again.

I hosted a company dinner at Roma Mia last month- it was incredible start to finish. The staff was fun and engaging, and the food was very authentic. I would highly recommend as a place to take a group of friends or an intimate dinner. I will absolutely be going back! Thanks Roma Mia!

Came here with my family on a Fri night. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! My favorite was the rigatoni, but the lasagna and carbonara were delicious as well. Don't skip the espresso and tiramisu! Perfect end to a lovely meal ✨

Unfortunately did not have the quality of food I was expecting from the reviews here. I had the chicken Marsala with roasted potatoes. The chicken was rubbery/chewy and lukewarm, not hot. The texture made me feel like it was not fresh chicken at all. The potatoes were borderline cold and some not cooked all the way through. And it really seemed like a very small amount for a chicken dish, two very thin, small pieces and a handful of diced potatoes. I was hoping to find a great Italian place to return to in SD, but this is not it.

We loved it here! The food- risotto and spaghetti- was amazing, staff is very friendly. The tiramisu is the best I've ever had. Hope to travel back to San Diego and visit again!
