Cozy spot for Italian specialties & wine. Rotisserie chicken, homemade pasta & wine served in warm environs with a snug sidewalk patio.
Been here two times with family, great Italian place! The owner is always attentive to make sure his guests are having a great time. Food portions are huge specially protein which you don’t see much of in San Diego. I love the sidewalk seating and colorful drinks!
The atmosphere here was great when we walked in. The waiters seemed nice. I ordered the Pasta Con Fresno Chili or something and it tasted great. I like that it was a little bit spicy and creamy. Enjoyed it. Now to the not-so-great, my buddy ordered the rotisserie chicken which he said was pretty good. However, there was a tiny piece of plastic when he sliced it up. Also, their service was slow and it felt like we were being ignored. Every table got what I assume to be complimentary bread which we didn't. Didn't really care for it but we did feel salty about that. Other people got their food and cheques faster than we did. Meal was overpriced as well. Overall, not as great as some other places we've been to around here.
An enjoyable evening with delicious food was had at the RoVino Restaurant . The husband got exactly what he wanted though it wasn’t listed on the menu together: rotisserie chicken and Alfredo pasta as a side dish. I had the yummy Brussels sprouts and bruschetta on gluten free bread. The Brussels sprouts were the best I have ever had. We were brought bread to start and I received gluten free toasted and seasoned slices. I usually just get ignored at restaurants when my husband receives bread. What a nice change. Our waiter also brought me two wines to sample. Nice experience all around.
We picked this restaurant because we wanted to have good Italian food. Honestly got really disappointed. None of the 5 chosen white wines from Italy of the wine menu were available. The extra sausage on the pasta was promised to be spicy Italian sausage. Well I expected Salsiccia since this is what I know from living in Italy. Unfortunately it wasn’t tasty at all. Wouldn’t recommend it.
This was a great pick for dinner on my birthday! The staff was very accommodating and continued to make special recommendations and offerings throughout my dinner. The cheesecake dessert was a nice addition as well.
Delicious food! The ambiance was a bit loud but that's what you get in downtown ? The food came out promptly and the servers were adorable and very polite. They also had gluten free pasta as well, so that's a definite plus for me. I also recommend the cheesecake for dessert, absolutely delicious.
Thanks to the folks at RoVino for turning a random weekday dinner into a fun date night. Our server, Luis, suggested some appetizers we hadn't considered. Adding the brussel sprouts really rounded out the meal, and meant that we had leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The cocktails, prepared by Nathan, were excellent. RoVino had a more interesting selection than I expected, and Nathan helped us navigate the options. I quite liked the Cilegia.
I came here a few weeks ago. It had an amazing time here. You need to make a reservation before you come. However, I was fortunate that someone cancelled and the host was really nice to us. I highly recommend this place.
