Gorgeous visit on a gorgeous day! Tremendous variety of gardens and plant materials. Came to see Native Texas Trail plantings and found whole areas representing the Hill Country and south and east Texas. Happy to finally see Texas bluebonnets in person! The specialty exhibits in the conservatories were unique and not to be missed. Don't skip the Fern Grotto! Even the gift shop didn't disappoint. Wish I could have brought home some of the live plants for sale as they were a steal! Last shout out to the very helpful ticket seller who kindly showed me how to get around, made great suggestions, and generally set a fantastic mood for my visit - which did not disappoint!

We went in March before all the roses were in bloom yet we still had a wonderful time! The grounds are beautiful and the pavilions were magical. I would highly recommend spending some time at the botanical gardens, I could have stayed all day. Oh and there is an incredible Childrens area with water features to play in and lots of other things to explore. There is a little gift shop that has some grab and go snacks and drinks.

So beautiful! This botanical garden is very well kept by the staff. It has so much pretty flowers and plants. Very family friendly and plenty of room to have a picnic with kids and also have a play area. You can also take your dogs for a walk around most of the park.

Nice gardens with a lot of differing areas to include a lot of things for children. The grounds are well maintained and laid out. The garden areas are beautiful and there were many different sections to view all with a variety. Make sure to bring water as the gift shop sales expensive items only. There were a lot of restrooms throughout which made it nice as the area is fairly expansive. They were displaying a nice fall scheme and there were a few very nice picture spots. Parking was free but limited.

One of the best botanic gardens in the country! Used to live in San Antonio and we came here weekly to walk around throughout the year. It’s just constantly so beautiful here and a great place to escape to the beauty. Things are always changing too, with the weather of course, so there are new things to see. There are also great events they put on throughout the year, especially around the Holidays. Whenever I come back I make sure to stop here. You have to go and if you’re a local I highly recommend the annual pass. Thanks for everything SA Botanical Gardens!

We spent a few hours here and could have spent more! It was my 11 year old twin daughters first experience at a botanical garden, and they were impressed! It was one of their favorite things of our trip to San Antonio. This garden is quiet and serene. Plenty big for you to have your own space. The family section is cool, as there are a lot of things to keep kids busy and entertained.

Botanical garden and Zoo are pretty close. Garden has entry fee of $12 per adult. Worth the fee, there is a plenty of things to do and observe inside. You should take plenty of water and food with you. There is only one small gift shop in the entrance that sells water and light food. It's very expensive in there. Plenty of parking spaces available but we used Uber ride. Upon your entry, get the map for your direction. Observatory areas had plenty of different Botanical and all were interesting. We were there for half day so we didn't visit everything that was there. If you are going with kids, please have stroller, it will help a lot. There is a kids garden that had tomatoes grown, kids can pluck and eat as much as they want. Lot of cactus varieties are all over the place. When we visited, there was a wedding taken in place, we enjoyed the music played and took some rest.

Need at least 2 hours if you are going with kids. It is a beautiful place and is a paradise for photo shoots. I took a lot of family pic with flowers and gigantic background. So many things like lake, towers, vegetable garden, big chairs, water fall, glass pyramid, ponds etc. ticket is worth the joy. Staff is very friendly. Check out my pictures and you would believe what I mean regarding the beauty of this place. Must go place in San Antonio.
