No-frills landmark for Chinese cuisine. Chinatown classic dishing out Hong Kong eats, including duck, soups & wontons since 1980.
We ordered the Peking duck. The skin was extremely delicious and crispy while the meat was very tender and tasty. The duck was offered with a choice of buns or pancakes. We also ordered the crispy roasted pig which was alright but also had great crunch skin. As a last dish, we also enjoyed the beef Chow Fun which I thought was the best I have had anywhere. The flavor was slightly charred and tasty! I would definitely come back here, and recommend!
The food here is fresh and made to order, it came out very quickly as well. The staff were quick and attentive and friendly. The food was very delicious and savory. The eggplant and chicken were cooked perfectly. The duck wrap was also very savory and flavorful. The Thai ice tea was also delicious. Definitely will come here again and try other items.
We always make it a point to take friends out here when we come into Philly! Sang-Kee has been here for over 40 years - there must be a reason why! The food is amazing, the Peking duck is something we always get. Highly recommend to visit this place. This is a great place for small plates, or even big plates. Dining in is family-style, moderate portion sizes.
Sang Kee was a delightful lunch experience. The duck bun is worth the hype, non greasy, savory, and aromatic duck meat in a very lightly doughed wrap. Excited to order more duck renditions from this establishment. Garlic chicken and eggplant delivered in traditional Cantonese elegance, thoroughly cooked eggplant and juicy tender chicken with a hint of black bean. Friendly and attentive staff whom were happy to provide recommendations without being pushy. 10/10 recommend.
My favorite food is Begin duck!!! Dinner for two was pretty great deal. It comes with a wonton soup, fried rice, duck and etc.! I repeatably come back to this restaurant to have a decent dinner:)
Went today for the first time after the auto show, and I can’t wait to return! Tasty and authentic food, that will ruin the taste of neighborhood Chinese restaurants. There was a small wait, but it was well worth it.
Wow! Incredible food at a good price. Place is constantly busy, but tables turn quick. The Peking and Hong Kong duck are terrific. The Hong Kong wanton soup and Singapore noodles are favs. This is a no trills, quick service specialty shop. People come to eat great food and leave. In walking distance of Franklin Square.
Got the 3 meat combination (duck, soy sauce chicken, and BBQ pork) with rice, once to go and once in person. The food is an excellent value - the meat was flavorful, although the bbq pork was a little tough. The combo also came with some veggies and rice. The restaurant and service are pretty spare - but certainly the food is the focus!
