Gourmet burger chain with frozen custard. Hip, counter-serve chain for gourmet takes on fast-food classics like burgers & frozen custard.
Located on the bottom floor of the Chicago Athletic Association building. We did paid street parking on a nearby street for an hour for 7.5$. You can also park on millennium garage. Im giving this a 5 star review because the good was delivered fast, it tasted fine, and the service was amazing. I had the Shack burger with fries and strawberry lemonade. The drinks are unlimited refills, which is nice.
After so many years, we finally were able to get our hands back on Shake Shack again! This location in particular is a must visit as it's located in a gorgeous classic design hotel/club considered a historical landmark from the late 1800. Just like the last time we had, the burgers were always delicious! I ordered the white truffle burger and really liked it. The service was great and there was this lady who would walk around the table asking for to clear any empty trays and offer for beverage refills in a new cups.
***Update**** turns out this location was having a bad day. I have since tried a new location and it 5x better then what I wrote on the bottom of this review. Much tastier and better service. Kinda pricey for not much flavor and tiny portion size. They are also missing a good sauce to go on the burger. It’s kinda dry. I got the new cheeseburger with bacon and fired onions and it honestly lacked any flavor. Tried a few other burgers and they all lacked flavor. The meat quality looked good but no flavor. Was really hoping this place would be good. To expensive and not enough flavor. The French fries were decent but I could buy this at a supermarket.
Burgers are juicy and fresh, one should definitely try beef and chicken burgers. I am definitely love the burgers and I am going back because I am yet to try there beverages. Food is bit pricey for the size they serve. So 3 stars
The truffle burger (limited edition) was so good! Loved the juiciness with the bold, distinct flavor of truffles. Definitely worth getting if it's still on the menu.
The seating is very limited. The burger only has green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and their special sauce. The shake was good and forget about getting hot or even warm french fries! It's a good burger but it's over priced. I paid about $100 for 5 burgers with cheese fries and shakes.
Disappointed by slow service. Literally no one in line and there were 3 people in the front. I had to wait realistically 2-3 minutes but it felt like 5 because there were 3 people there just talking. Ketchup was out, I had to go ask to get it refilled, trash and trays were overfilled. It was not overly busy because that I could understand.
Came here a few years ago on a visit to Chicago, and our children said it was the best Shake Shack ever. We came on this trip and again the food was really great. Very friendly service, too.
